The Vatican is an institution that is in many ways shrouded in mystery.
But the Catholic Church may be sitting on the biggest bombshell of them all.
And the Pope is hiding one secret book some believe reveals when the world will end.
Text claims the world will end in 2027
The Book of Revelation is the final book in The Bible and describes the Apostle John’s vision of the end times.
An Antichrist arrives on earth as part of a sequence of events that culminates at Har-Magedon.
Revelation 19:11-16 describes the return of Jesus and His climatic victory.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS,’” the text reads.
Throughout the centuries, many wondered when the Apocalypse would arrive.
The Catholic Church may have been sitting on that answer for the last 900 years.
Inside the Vatican sits the “Prophecy of the Popes” which contains accurate predictions that run up to the present day.
“Saint Malachy is credited with the 12th-century text, ‘Prophecy of the Popes,’ which contains a series of cryptic Latin phrases believed to describe every pope, beginning with Celestine II in 1143 and concluding with the current leader of Church, Pope Francis,” The Daily Mail reported.
For example, the Daily Mail reports that “one of the prophecies names the 111th pope as ‘Gloria Olivae,’ which means ‘the glory of the Olive.’”
This description matched Pope Francis’ predecessor.
“The Order of Saint Benedict is also known as the Olivetans, which leads some historians to believe Malachy predicted Pope Benedict would lead the Catholic Church. He was pope from 2005 to 2013,” the Daily Mail reported.
Pope Francis recently fell ill and required a ventilator.
In the “Prophecy of the Popes” Saint Malanchy predicts the final Pope will be Peter.
The final passage of the book reads “in the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”
Experts believe the text predicts the end of the world will arrive in 2027 due to a line attributed to Pope Sixtus V from 1585 that reads “Axle in the midst of a sign.”
Sixtus served 442 years after the text began describing Popes with Celestine II which according to the text would place Sixtus as the Pope in the middle of the text.
442 years after 1585 would be 2027.
The growing number of crises around the world, including Ukraine, Asia, and the Middle East have some Catholics looking at this text and wondering if its final passages are now playing out.
Of course, as Christ states in Matthew 24: 36 no one “but the Father alone” knows the timing of the Lord’s return.
“‘But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone,’” He declares in The Book.
