After only six weekends at the box office, Sound of Freedom hit a total domestic gross of $172.8 million over the weekend.
The left-wing media tried to portray the film as right-wing propaganda from Donald Trump and his supporters.
But the movie Sound of Freedom had this star NFL wide receiver at a loss for words.
Sound of Freedom tells the story of former Homeland Security Agent Tim Ballard, who quit his job with the federal government to rescue children in Colombia from a child sex trafficking network.
The Passion of the Christ star Jim Caviezel plays Tim Ballard in the Sound of Freedom.
Produced on a shoestring budget of $14 million, Sound of Freedom was released in a limited number of theaters across the United States on July 4.
Despite a media blackout, Sound of Freedom surpassed Disney’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny at the box office on its opening weekend.
“The movie has racked up more than $150 million at the box office since its release, even though it has been criticized heavily,” Fox News reported. “Both U.K. outlet The Guardian and Jezebel have claimed that the film was associated with QAnon, an online group often linked with promoting fringe conspiracy theories,” Fox News continued, before adding “although the film, produced by Angel Studios and released over the July 4 holiday, never engages in such conspiracy theories while exposing the underbelly of the underground sex slave trade, both outlets linked the movie to extremists in an attempt to discredit it and its box-office success.”
The media really erupted into a frenzy when Donald Trump held a screening of the film at his Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey and invited the entire cast and production team.
“They’re scared,” Caviezel said in July. “Quaking in their boots,” he continued, before adding “and it’s because the public are listening to their hearts, which is what this film tells you to do.”
According to Breitbart, Sound of Freedom hit a total domestic gross of $172.8 million over the weekend and “still has some gas left in its tank.”
The movie apparently hit one NFL wide receiver in the gut so hard it left him at a loss for words.
On Wednesday, Baltimore Ravens star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. shared his thoughts after watching the movie that highlights the true reality of child trafficking.
“Sound of Freedom,” he wrote. “I don’t even kno [sic] what to say,” he continued. “That’s heavy.”
Sound of Freedom.
I don’t even kno what to say. That’s heavy.
