Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is constantly surrounded by controversy.
But this time it’s serious.
And the House Ethics Committee just put Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on notice about this major investigation she’s facing.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is one of the most radical socialists in Congress.
Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow “Squad” members are always pushing the Democrat Party more to the Left, demanding more tax hikes, more gun control, and more green energy spending.
Even though Rep. Ocasio-Cortez loves the spotlight, she erupts in the face of the slightest amount of criticism, and always tries to turn it into a form of violence against her.
But Ocasio-Cortez’ in-your-face style may have landed her in hot water.
On Wednesday, the House Ethics Committee released a statement announcing Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez was under investigation for potentially violating House ethics rules.
“The Acting Chairwoman and Acting Ranking Member of the Committee on Ethics have jointly decided to extend the matter regarding Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which was transmitted to the Committee by the Office of Congressional Ethics on June 23, 2022,” the Committee wrote in a statement.
The Committee added that the “mere fact of a referral or an extension, and the mandatory disclosure of such an extension and the name of the subject of the matter, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred, or reflect any judgment on behalf of the Committee.”

No other information was released regarding the reason behind the investigation.
However, many are speculating that it has something to do with the two complaints filed last year over her attendance at the Met Gala in New York City.
One of the complaints revolved around whether or not she was allowed to accept the free tickets to the event, which usually costs between $35,000 to $50,000 per ticket.
The other complaint centered around the designer dress she wore, which featured “Tax The Rich” in huge red letters across the back.
The complaint claims she was given the dress and was not allowed to accept it because it was “directly related to AOC’s ‘position with the House’ as a highly visible and controversial Member.”
A member of the Congresswoman’s staff expressed her confidence that “this matter will be dismissed.”
“The Congresswoman has always taken ethics incredibly seriously, refusing any donations from lobbyists, corporations, or other special interests,” Ocasio-Cortez Spokeswoman Lauren Hitt told Business Insider. “We are confident that this matter will be dismissed.”
It will be at least January before more information is released, as the Committee said it will “announce its course of action in this matter following its organizational meeting and adoption of Committee Rules in the 118th Congress.”
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be sweating bullets until then.
