The Federal Government just admitted something most Americans have known for decades

We knew it was happening.

The government tried to say it wasn’t true.

But now the Federal Government has finally admitted something most Americans have known for decades.

The Federal Government has been spying on Americans for years. Thanks to the “Patriot Act” and George W. Bush.

All in the name of “national security” of course.

Don’t you feel safer knowing that Joe Biden’s Department of Justice has all of your most personal, important, and secret information?

They even know where you go, when you go, and how often you go.

That’s right, after years of denials, we now know the truth about something that we here at Right News Wire have been warning readers of for quite some time.

The Federal Government spied on and purchased the location data information from “hundreds of millions” of cell phones nationwide.

As reported by The Washington Examiner, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration Control (ICE) both still have extensive access to Americans’ cell phone information, including their location information.

It turns out agents from Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement had access to at least 336,000 different location points via data harvested from hundreds of millions of American citizens’ mobile devices, according to documents released by the American Civil Liberties Union.

“The records, which the ACLU obtained over the course of the last year through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, shed new light on the government’s ability to obtain our most private information by simply opening the federal wallet,” wrote ACLU fellow Shreya Tewari and paralegal Fikayo Walter-Johnson in an article announcing the release.

And DHS spent millions of dollars to purchase access to cell phone location data from data brokers Venntel and Babel Street, according to the documents. The data can be used to identify devices observed at “places of interest” and “identify repeat visitors, frequented locations, pinpoint known associates, and discover pattern of life.”

What makes this even worse is in 2019 DHS’s acting privacy officer told officials at the agency to “stop all projects involving Venntel data” due to legal concerns.

But his orders went unheeded and several agencies continued to use the data. “These agencies seem fully aware that they are exploiting a massive privacy disaster in this country,” Nathan Freed Wessler, the ACLU’s Speech, Privacy and Technology Project’s deputy director, told Politico.

And the sale of mass data to federal agencies is a breach of Carpenter v. United States, according to the ACLU.

In that case, the Supreme Court ruled that government agencies must have a warrant to access someone’s cell location data due to the “privacies of life” that such data can reveal.

Data collection by law enforcement has been a growing concern for years.

And Big Tech has been working hand-in-fist with the Biden administration and Soros-funded law enforcement officials.

Amazon, for example, has revealed that it had shared video footage from its Ring doorbells with police without getting the permission of the Ring owners.

And Facebook, Google, and other Big Tech Titans have shared information with law enforcement looking into “conservative threats” and Christian organizations.

The Federal Government finally had to admit they are in fact spying on you.

Oh yeah, and the sun is hot.
