But now the Democrat Mayor of Washington, D.C. just introduced a mask ban that caught everyone by surprise.

In Democrat-dominated Washington, D.C., crime has skyrocketed to the point where residents describe the District as a “war zone.”
Just last week, five homicides occurred within 35 hours in three separate highly trafficked areas of Washington, D.C.
“One of them entailed a former Democrat staffer for a District council member,” Breitbart News reported. “Another shocking incident occurred Monday when four men jumped out of a car in the well-to-do Wharf neighborhood with guns drawn to rob restaurant goers, Metropolitan Police Department footage showed.”
Of course, there’s a reason why crime is soaring in Democrat-led cities.
George Soros-backed prosecutors are implementing pro-criminal policies like cashless bail.
In 2022, U.S. Attorney for D.C., Matthew Graves, refused to prosecute nearly 70% of those arrested.
With crime becoming such an obvious problem, Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser is offering up bogus solutions that will do nothing to stop criminals from roaming the streets.
Mayor Bowser was one of the biggest COVID tyrants in the country during the pandemic and implemented strict mask mandates for all places outside the home.
That’s why Bowser introducing a law to ban criminals from wearing a mask caught everyone by surprise.
After issuing an edict mandating masks, she now wants to ban wearing them in public.
“Obviously, our community’s relationship around wearing masks has changed significantly since 2020, and thank God for that, but we’ve all seen the videos,” Bowser said.
“We need to act now,” she told reporters. “And we need to send the strong message that violence is not acceptable in our city — and this perception that people have, that you can commit a brazen crime and get away with it, has got to stop.”
“This legislation will change that,” Bowser added.
A law against wearing a mask will do nothing to deter crime since criminals, by definition, do not follow the law.
If Bowser were serious about crime, she would increase funding for law enforcement and end the Soros-backed pro-crime policies.
