President Joe Biden has been confirming radical judges at breakneck speed in his attempt to remake the federal judiciary.
United States Magistrate Judge Mustafa Kasubhai was appointed by Biden to become a District Judge.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Kasubhai for singing the praises of Marxism and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs along with citing a scholar who believes that virtually all sex is rape.
Cruz went after his extreme record during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where the Texas lawmaker said something shocking about former President Barack Obama.
“The nominations by Joe Biden have been extraordinarily extreme,” Cruz said. “They’ve been so egregious that they filled me with a sense I could not have previously imagined happening, which is that I long for Barack Obama. [A]lthough I disagreed with many of President Obama’s judicial nominees, they were comparatively moderate when put next to the radicals that the Biden White House keeps putting forward.”
Biden’s judicial nominees are making the ones put forward by Obama look sane by comparison.
Democrats and the media claim that Biden is a moderate but he’s appointing the most radical group of left-wing judicial activists to the federal bench in history.
Cruz pointed out Kasubhai’s academic writing that showered Marxism with praise.
“In one essay . . . Kashubhai argued that the integration of Marxism with traditional economic theories of property, specifically that of Locke and Bentham, would ‘provide a framework for relationships that enhance each unique self,’” Cruz said. “Here’s a pro tip: if a guy is writing love letters to Marxism, maybe he’s not the best candidate to be a federal judge.”
The Texas lawmaker also cited an article that Kasubhai wrote for a law journal that incorporated an argument from a feminist professor who claimed that most heterosexual sex is the equivalent of rape.
“He cited radical Professor Catharine MacKinnon, who argued ‘Sexuality itself is a power web in which heterosexual relations per se, are infused with violence and control and that most intercourse is rape.’ Is that the position of most Democrats on the committee?” Cruz asked. “That’s moonbeam nuts.”
Kasubhai also claimed that “diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the heart and soul of the court system.”
