Pop star Taylor Swift became one of the storylines of the last NFL season.

Now she’s becoming one again after the league made this accommodation.

And Taylor Swift forced the NFL to make this shocking decision about next season.

NFL had to plan out next season’s schedule around Taylor Swift

Pop star Taylor Swift’s attendance at the games of her boyfriend Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce became one of the surprising storylines of the season.

Cameras would cut to her during the games and her potential attendance at the next Chiefs game became fodder for speculation.

Swift became a regular at Chiefs games on the team’s way to winning their second straight Super Bowl.

The release of the NFL schedule every year is a highly anticipated event where fans can see their teams’ matchups for the next season.

Now Swift already helped shape the next NFL season.

NFL Vice President of Broadcast Planning Mike North said that the league had to take into account Swift’s Eras Tours for planning teams’ schedules.

The Era Tours has become one of the biggest tours of all time with Swift selling out football stadiums around the country.

She had concerts booked on Sundays this fall as part of the second United States leg of the tour.

NFL schedule makers had to consider when her concerts were booked when deciding if a team would have a home game.

“Swift is set to have concerts at Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the Miami Dolphins, three days in a row from Friday Oct. 18 through Sunday Oct. 20. She will then travel to New Orleans for three consecutive days of shows at the Caesars Superdome, the New Orleans Saints’ home field, from Friday Oct. 25 through Sunday Oct. 27. The final leg of her U.S. return wraps up at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts, from Friday Nov. 1 through Sunday Nov. 3,” CBS Sports reported.

The Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Indianapolis Colts were all given road games on the Sunday that Swift played in their stadium.

NFL schedule gives a lucky break to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

Swift is scheduled to perform at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada on November 14-16 and again on 18-21.

On November 17 – the day Swift has off in Toronto – Kelce and the Chiefs are scheduled to play the Buffalo Bills in New York, a two hour drive from the Rogers Centre.

NFL officials said that it was completely random that Kelce’s schedule lined up with Swift’s off day.

The pop star brought legions of new fans to the NFL based on her relationship with Kelce.

Apex Marketing Group said that Swift created $331.5 million worth of “brand value” for the NFL last season.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said last November that the Swift-Kelce romance was good for the league.

“Listen, they’re happy,” Goodell said. “They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That’s great in and of itself. But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways. To see that they have a connection, now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor.”

Taylor Swift looks like she’ll be a part of the NFL’s storyline again next season cheering on Travis Kelce again, much to the chagrin of football fans.
