Sunny Hostin Just Admitted The View Rigged the 2024 Election for Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris torched her own presidential campaign in one sentence on live television.

Now the woman who handed her the match just admitted she did it on purpose.

Sunny Hostin went off-script at a behind-the-scenes event and accidentally admitted that The View rigged the 2024 election for Kamala Harris.

The Layup She Threw Into the Stands

Hostin described the now-infamous October 2024 question – "Would you have done anything differently than Joe Biden?" – as a "gift."

She wasn't kidding.

Hostin said she crafted the question specifically because she expected Harris to use it as a launchpad.

She expected Harris to draw a contrast – to point to her background, her record, what she'd do differently.

Instead, Harris looked into the camera on friendly turf, in front of "her people," and said "not a single thing comes to mind."

Harris' own staff – stationed around the studio – immediately went into damage control.

Her senior political adviser passed her a note during a commercial break instructing her to go back to the question and clean it up.

She didn't.

Democrat strategist James Carville later said that The View interview was the moment Harris' campaign ended.

Bill Maher called the answer "terrible."

Trump's campaign turned it into a viral ad.

And two years later, Sunny Hostin is standing in front of a live audience calling it "problematic."

ABC Was Running a Campaign Operation, Not a Talk Show

Hostin just confirmed what conservatives have argued for two years: The View set up that question to help Kamala Harris win the presidency.

She chose the question because she knew Biden's approval ratings were in the gutter.

She chose The View as the venue because she considered its liberal audience to be Harris' base.

She designed the moment to give Harris a political opening – a free 30-second campaign ad in front of millions of viewers on a broadcast network.

That's not journalism.

That's not a talk show.

That's a coordinated political operation using ABC's public airwaves to boost a Democrat.

The Media Research Center has been making exactly this argument to the FCC for months.

Nicholas Fondacaro, NewsBusters associate editor, said Hostin "openly admitted that her intention with the question was to help Kamala with what she felt was a layup question."

The MRC has submitted 2,473 separate pieces of documented evidence of The View's bias to the FCC.

In 2025, the show hosted 128 liberal guests and two conservatives.

Not two fewer conservatives than liberals.

Two conservatives.

Total.

What Happens When the Propaganda Machine Turns on Its Candidate

Now the same women who tried to install Kamala Harris in the White House are questioning whether she should run again in 2028.

Co-host Nicolle Haines said Democrats are "clamoring for fresh energy" and Harris would be running for a third time.

Joy Behar – who has cheerled Harris for two years – has gone on record saying the Democrats need a man to win in 2028.

Even Ana Navarro, who has never met a Trump critic she wouldn't platform, stopped short of endorsing another Harris run.

Hostin herself said in April she wished Harris had run for California governor instead.

Democrats on Capitol Hill are just as queasy.

When reporters asked House Democrats whether Harris should run again, most of them punted, said they'd focus on 2028 after the midterms, or gave one-word answers off the record.

One Democrat senator's entire response to the question of a Harris 2028 run was: "No."

Harris, meanwhile, told Al Sharpton she "might" run.

She called herself "the most qualified candidate ever to run for president."

The White House responded immediately – press secretary Abigail Jackson said when Harris "lost the election in a landslide, she should've taken the hint."

The View Helped Destroy the Candidate It Built

This is the part no one in the media wants to say out loud.

The View didn't just fail to stop Kamala Harris from self-destructing on live television.

The View created the conditions for it.

Hostin handed Harris a friendly venue, a friendly crowd, and a question designed to be easy – and Harris still couldn't answer it.

That tells you everything about why she lost.

The FCC is now deciding whether ABC deserves its broadcast licenses — with that 128-to-2 guest ratio on the table as Exhibit A.

Hostin calling Harris' answer "problematic" two years after the election is like an arsonist calling the fire department after the building burns down.

She handed Kamala the matches.

And now she's on stage at a podcast event acting surprised the house burned down.
