The Left are marshaling their resources to destroy Clarence Thomas.
They’re even going after his wife Ginni.
But Justice Sonia Sotomayor said something about Clarence Thomas that has the Left going nuts.
Ever since Democrats went completely insane after the election of Donald Trump in 2016, politics have become increasingly divisive.
The divide had been growing for years as radical leftists tore at the fabric of the country, but it accelerated in the Trump era.
Now Democrats are out for blood against anyone who opposed them.
But far-left Justice Sonia Sotomayor actually expressed kind words toward Clarence Thomas, the man who has become an archvillain for the Democrats.
During an event for the American Constitution Society, Sotomayor said, “I suspect I have probably disagreed with him more than with any other justice, that we have not joined each other’s opinions more than anybody else…He is a man who cares deeply about the court as an institution, about the people who work there…I think we share a common understanding about people and kindness toward them…That’s why I can be friends with him and still continue our daily battle over our difference of opinions in cases.”
Sotomayor also commented on how Thomas is warm and friendly with everyone, and remembers their names and the names of their family members.

Conservatives believe that leftists are wrong, but leftists believe that conservatives are evil.
That political imbalance has been the state of play in American politics for a long time.
So it’s surprising to see Sotomayor back away from the brinkmanship strategy of the Left.
It wasn’t that long ago that people could disagree about politics and still share the country.
That has become a challenge in the current political landscape.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett explained, “You know, I have friends who disagree with me vehemently about all kinds of things, but I think that is dehumanizing if we reduce people to the political or policy differences that we might have with one another.”
It’s becoming more difficult for this principle to be upheld on the Left.
Everything is a “life-threatening” issue that calls for the complete repudiation of political enemies.
That’s why old-school liberals have been run out of the Democratic Party with heightened frequency.
The Left long revered the Supreme Court, but now that the high court is swinging right, it suddenly has become illegitimate.
At least Sotomayor was able to rise above the partisan bickering.
