Now one of the greatest Winter Olympians in history just fired back – and she did it with the kind of authority that comes from earning six Olympic medals the hard way.
Kaillie Humphries didn't just defend Trump. She defended legal immigration, women's sports, and everything the left has spent years trying to tear down – and she did it wearing the American flag on her chest.

She started the path to U.S. citizenship in 2016, married an American, lived here, and completed the process in December 2021 – just in time to compete under the red, white and blue in Beijing.
"I stand with legal immigration," Humphries told Fox News Digital. "It's not an easy process. It shouldn't be an easy process."
That's the part the open-borders crowd never wants to talk about.
A legal immigrant – someone who actually went through the system, respected the rules, and earned her citizenship – standing up to say the process matters.
"In order for our country to stay the greatest country in the world, we need those checks and balances," she said. "Otherwise we're just lawless and people are making stuff up as they go."

The men's hockey team won America's first Olympic gold in men's ice hockey since 1980.
They got a standing ovation at the State of the Union. They visited the White House. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
And the media response? Outrage. Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail compared them to monkeys in a zoo.
Humphries didn't let that slide.
"I think it's sad that you are going to diminish an accomplishment, a great accomplishment, knowing they haven't won in 46 years," she said.
She had a message for anyone who was invited to the White House and chose to skip it: she would have gone herself.
"Whether they voted for him or not, you get to celebrate with the ultimate person that runs our government. I would have gone if I got invited."
On the Trump locker room joke that sent the left into a meltdown – Humphries kept it real.
She competes in a male-dominated sport and knows the difference between a joke and an attack.
"I can understand when a joke is a joke," she said. "It wasn't a joke about me."

"There's a drastic difference. We have different chromosomes and different genetics," she said.
Humphries supports Trump's push for mandatory genetic sex testing to protect the women's category and is pursuing a spot on the White House Task Force for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
When asked what she'd say to politicians who call protecting women's sports "bigotry," she didn't flinch.
"I would ask if they've ever been to an Olympic-level of sport and had to try and compete against someone of a world-class caliber."
"Women have their own category and deservedly so. If the trans community would like to compete in a sport, there should be a category for them as well."
She added a warning the left ignores: without a protected women's category, the category disappears entirely.
"Unfortunately, because of that big difference, it will just end up disappearing."

When Humphries reported physical and mental abuse by the Canadian national team's head coach after the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, Bobsled Canada backed the coach – cutting her funding and removing her from the team.
So she called USA Bobsled and started over from scratch, buying her own equipment and proving herself at U.S. trials before representing the country she'd chosen to call home.
A mom who had her son Aulden through IVF in June 2024 – and is grateful Trump signed an executive order in February 2025 aimed at reducing IVF costs.
A competitor who, at 40 years old, stood on the Olympic podium with a bronze medal and her baby boy.
