Sheila Jackson Lee is arguably the most radical Congresswoman in the U.S. House of Representatives – and that’s saying something given the makeup of the Democrat caucus.
She’s also one of the most out-of-touch with reality – which is also saying something.
But now, Rep. Jackson Lee (D-TX) is making an excuse for President Joe Biden’s poll numbers that will have you rolling on the floor laughing.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll has President Joe Biden sitting at a historically low 31% job performance approval rating.
Meanwhile, the Real Clear Politics average of Biden’s approval rating is hovering under 37%.
According to the Q-Poll, 71% of the country doesn’t even want the 46th President of the United States to run for a second term in office.
That includes a majority of Democrats, 54%, who say Biden needs to stop at a single term.
While many members of the corporate-controlled media, as well as many Democrat politicians are turning their back on the President, there are still some who are fighting on Biden’s behalf.
Enter Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston.
The leading radical in the Lone Star State is now making the most ridiculous defense for low poll numbers you’ve ever heard.
Jackson Lee believes the heat is getting to people’s heads.
“Oil prices; gasoline costs at the pump [are] going down,” House Judiciary Committee member Sheila Jackson Lee said. “All that we have committed to doing we are doing. So, I really look at those numbers, yes, as dissatisfaction — as the frustration of the summer; the heat.”
First, gas prices are still up more than $2.00 per gallon from when Joe Biden took office.
With that out of the way, the heat, really?
That’s why President Biden’s approval ratings are the lowest in recorded history?
It has nothing to do with generationally high inflation, record gas prices, surging crime rates, a crisis on the U.S. southern border, an opioid epidemic, the botched Afghanistan withdraw, or the fact he can’t get through a speech without an embarrassing blunder?
Nope, it’s the warm weather.
“So, they hate the Democrat president in the summers and then they start liking him again in the winter — and then they start hating him again in the summer? This is a trend I think we should really follow,” said Fox News’ Jessie Waters on The Five.
Following up as Water’s suggests proves Jackson Lee’s argument doesn’t hold water.
The last time President Biden had a net positive approval rating in the RCP average of polling, was in late August of last year.
At that time, he had 48.2% approval, with 48% disapproval.
And the average nationwide temperature that month was nearly 85-degrees.
In all the cold winter months of late 2021 and early 2022, his polling numbers just kept dipping.
While it’s hard to imagine an incumbent President going lower than 31%, there appears to be no end in sight to his freefall.
And if the Democrat’s best strategy is to wait it out for the foliage to start changing colors, it’s going to be a long midterm election cycle for the blue team.
