Sarah Palin dropped a bombshell that has some in the GOP shaking in their boots

The world hasn’t heard much from Sarah Palin over the last few years.

Palin appeared to step out of the spotlight for a while following Donald Trump’s 2016 Presidential win.

But the other day, Sarah Palin dropped a bombshell that has some in the GOP shaking in their boots.

Sarah Palin burst onto the political scene as John McCain’s running mate in 2008 and became the darling of the conservative movement.

In 2016, she began to step back and not be as visible leaving some to wonder if her time in public office was over.

But it looks like she just answered that question during a recent interview with Newsmax’s Eric Bolling.

During the interview, Bolling complimented Palin on her popularity and asked the question many would like the answer to.

“Do you have aspirations to get back into elected office, or anything more in politics?” Bolling asked Palin.

“I would love to. I would never say never, I feel like there are still some offerings that I have in terms of a servant’s heart. I want to serve. I want to help the people. And I think I have a heck of a lot of common sense, and that’s what we need today,” the former Alaska Governor stated.

That sounds like a woman looking to run for office again.

Bolling closed the segment by simply stating, “Hmmm, stay tuned, in other words, folks.”

There are rumors that Palin is looking to run against Never-Trump Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski who is up for reelection in 2022.

Murkowski has a target on her back already with Donald Trump putting a heavy emphasis on what an enemy she is to him, so the environment is ripe for someone like Palin to jump in.

Of course, the irony of Palin possibly running against Murkowski isn’t lost on anyone given that Governor Frank Murkowski – Lisa’s father – was defeated by Palin in Alaska’s 2006 Gubernatorial Primary.

Palin famously tweeted at Lisa Murkowski that she could see 2022 from her house after the Senator voted against Trump-nominated Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Sarah Palin, despite stepping out of the spotlight for a while, remains wildly popular with the conservative base, so it likely wouldn’t shock anyone if she throws her hat in the 2022 ring.
