The Biden administration spent years pushing one agenda on American families.
Now all that work just went up in smoke.
And RFK Jr just delivered one stunning blow to Biden's legacy that Democrats never saw coming.
Trump administration tears up Biden's nutrition playbook
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unveiled the Trump administration's new Dietary Guidelines for Americans on Wednesday.
The 2026-2030 guidelines represent a complete rejection of Biden-era nutrition policy.
Kennedy and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced the changes at a White House briefing that had nutrition establishment types clutching their pearls.
The new guidelines tell Americans to embrace full-fat dairy products, cook with beef tallow, and eat more protein at every meal.
These recommendations fly in the face of decades of government advice pushing Americans toward low-fat and fat-free options.
Biden's 2020-2025 guidelines recommended fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, and cheese.
The Trump administration just threw that guidance in the trash.
"We're going to be working very hard to ensure government procurement programs go to whole foods," a senior administration official said.
The new guidelines recommend Americans get "the bulk of fat from whole food sources" including animal proteins, full-fat dairy, avocados, and seeds.
When cooking, the guidelines suggest using olive oil, butter, or beef tallow.
Kennedy has championed beef tallow for months after Steak 'n Shake switched from seed oils to beef tallow for frying in March 2025.
The Health Secretary even visited a Florida location with Fox News host Sean Hannity to praise the company for what he called "RFKing the French fries."
The guidelines also urge Americans to consume protein "at every meal" including red meat.
That directly contradicts the Biden administration's scientific advisory committee, which recommended in 2024 that people cut back on steaks and burgers.
Kennedy declares war on added sugar
The new guidelines take an aggressive stance against added sugar that Biden officials refused to adopt.
Kennedy has called sugar "poison" and the new recommendations reflect that view.
The guidelines state that "no amount of added sugars or non-nutritive sweeteners is recommended or considered part of a healthy or nutritious diet."
For children aged four and under, parents should completely avoid giving them any added sugar according to the new guidance.
Biden's 2020-2025 guidelines were much softer on sugar, particularly for children.
The Trump administration isn't playing games.
The document also focuses on gut health for the first time, noting that "highly processed foods can disrupt" digestion.
The guidelines loosely define ultra-processed foods as "highly processed packaged, prepared, ready-to-eat" items with added sugars and salt.
When asked why officials didn't provide a more precise definition, the senior administration official said "a four-year-old can determine the difference between a potato and potato chips."
Kennedy has spent months attacking what he calls the "war on healthy fats" that previous administrations waged.
The Make America Healthy Again movement views animal fats as unfairly vilified by nutrition establishment figures.
The Biden administration oversaw the scientific review that typically serves as the foundation for dietary guidelines.
But Kennedy and other critics argued that advisory committee members had conflicts of interest from working with food companies.
The final Trump guidelines rejected key committee recommendations entirely.
The Biden committee said individuals should stick to fat-free or low-fat dairy products.
Trump's guidelines recommend full-fat dairy as "an excellent source of protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals."
American Medical Association backs Trump's approach
The nutrition establishment is divided over the new guidelines.
American Medical Association President Dr. Bobby Mukkamala applauded the Trump administration's recommendations.
"The Guidelines affirm that food is medicine and offer clear direction patients and physicians can use to improve health," Mukkamala said.
The AMA praised the focus on cutting highly processed foods, sugar-sweetened beverages, and excess sodium.
Some nutrition scientists worry the guidelines put too much emphasis on red meat and dairy products.
But Kennedy isn't backing down from his mission to transform how Americans eat.
The new guidelines will shape federal food procurement for schools and the military.
They'll also influence the dietary advice physicians give their patients for the next five years.
Trump and Kennedy have additionally moved to allow states to ban junk food and soda from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
The administration is pressuring food manufacturers and retailers to cut synthetic dyes from products.
Kennedy recently shed doubt that the FDA would ever finalize a specific definition for ultra-processed foods.
The Trump administration scrapped the MyPlate visual guide Biden used, introducing a redesigned food pyramid that emphasizes protein, dairy, and healthy fats.
Look, this is about more than just dairy and beef tallow.
Biden and the globalists spent years pushing their climate agenda on American dinner plates.
They wanted you eating bugs and fake meat to fight their so-called "existential threat" while they flew private jets to climate conferences.
Kennedy just told them to shove it and put real food back on the menu.
The nutrition establishment built their careers demonizing animal fats because red meat is "bad for the planet."
Never mind that Americans are sicker than ever following their advice.
Trump's guidelines expose that whole framework as globalist propaganda disconnected from actual science on full-fat dairy and saturated fats.
Biden's people had their chance to update the guidelines during his term but they stuck with the same failed climate-driven approach.
Now Kennedy is cleaning up their mess and Democrats are furious they can't control what your kids eat in school anymore to save the polar bears.
