Republicans just struck down one insane Chuck Schumer proposal

Democrats are grasping at straws to find a compelling narrative.

But polls show that voters are not impressed.

And Republicans just struck down one insane Chuck Schumer proposal.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer tried to use the horrific shooting in Buffalo as a justification to pass the troubling Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act.

The bill piles even more bureaucracy onto a bloated system, and gives a justification for targeting and surveilling right-wingers.

Schumer tried to pump the bill by arguing, “The bill is so important because the mass shooting in Buffalo was an act of domestic terrorism . . . We need to call it what it is, domestic terrorism. It was terrorism that fed off the poison of conspiracy theories like ‘white replacement theory.’”

Democrats have been trying to link so-called “replacement theory” to mainstream concerns about immigration, which have been argued for decades by both parties.

But the Left plays dirty and attempts to smear their political opponents as morally evil.

Unfortunately for Schumer, he didn’t come close to the 60-vote threshold – the bill went down in a 47-47 tie.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul explained, “It would be the Democrat plan to name our police as white supremacists and neo-Nazis . . . I met policemen throughout Kentucky and I’ve not met one policeman motivated or consumed with any kind of racial rage. What an insult it is to put a bill before the House and say our Marines are consumed with white supremacy and neo-Nazism.”

As soon as the Biden administration came into power, one of the first acts was for Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to issue a stand-down order of the armed forces in order to investigate white supremacy.

The Left have become consumed with the idea of labeling all of their political enemies white supremacists, even if they’re black – during his bid for Governor of California in the recall election, Republican Larry Elder was smeared by The Los Angeles Times as the “black face of white supremacy.”

Democrats are losing the argument, so they have ratcheted up the fear-mongering and apocalyptic rhetoric.

MSNBC contributor Donny Deutsch revealed the Democrats’ plans during an appearance on Morning Joe where he admitted, “[M]ake it the Republican replacement theory, mainstream it. Because this is the way – you have to scare. We don’t have the economy on our side as Democrats, so you have to scare the bejesus out of people.”

“You have to scare” is the Democrat way.

So far, the strategy has not paid off because the Republicans still have a commanding lead in the generic Congressional ballot.
