The Monroe County Democrat Party called their own senator a traitor on social media last month.
Now a bombshell poll confirms what everyone in Washington, DC already knew but wouldn't say out loud.
John Fetterman is more popular with Republicans than Pennsylvania's actual Republican senator – and his own party wants him destroyed.
The Numbers That Are Breaking Democrats' Brains
The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena University just dropped a poll that reads like a fever dream for the Left.
Seventy-three percent of Pennsylvania Republicans view Fetterman favorably.
Only 63 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans view Dave McCormick – their own GOP senator – favorably.
Read that again.
A man who ran as a Democrat, who wears hoodies on the Senate floor, who beat a Republican in 2022, is now more trusted by Republican voters than the Republican they actually elected.
Meanwhile, 63 percent of Pennsylvania Democrats now view Fetterman unfavorably.

Two years ago, 74 percent of Democrats loved him.
The math here is brutal: Fetterman lost 52 points with Democrats while gaining 48 points with Republicans – a 100-point swing in the space of one term.
What Harry Truman Predicted 74 Years Ago
Here's what Democrats conveniently forget when they go after Fetterman.
Harry Truman saw this coming in 1952.
"The people don't want a phony Democrat," Truman warned his own party. "If it's a choice between a genuine Republican and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time."
Truman was talking about someone different, but the warning applies perfectly to what Democrats are about to do to themselves in Pennsylvania.
They are preparing to run Brendan Boyle – the man who calls Fetterman "Trump's favorite Democrat" – against a sitting senator who just proved he can win Republican voters that Democrats desperately need back.
Conor Lamb is sharpening his knives too.
So is Chris Deluzio, who is busy appearing at Bernie Sanders rallies while calling Fetterman crazy for working across the aisle.
Not one Pennsylvania Democrat in Congress – not one – would tell reporters that Fetterman should run again as a Democrat.
Arlen Specter tried the same calculation in reverse in 2010 – abandoned the Republican Party, locked up Obama's endorsement, held a 20-point lead in polls – and Joe Sestak knocked him out in the primary anyway.
Democrats burned a five-term senator because he wasn't pure enough.
Now they're gearing up to do the same thing to the only Democrat in Pennsylvania with a pulse.
John Thune Is Watching All of This Very Carefully
Senate Majority Leader John Thune isn't hiding what he wants.
"There are many of us who would welcome the opportunity to have him join the Republican conference," Thune told reporters, "but ultimately that's a decision that's up to him."
Fetterman keeps saying no.
"I'm a Democrat and I'm staying one," he told Politico – and then added, in vintage Fetterman fashion, that he'd be a "s***ty Republican."
But there's one thing that would change his mind, and he's been crystal clear about it.
If the Democrat Party ever officially becomes the anti-Israel party, Fetterman walks.
The progressive wing – the same people calling him a traitor and plotting his 2028 primary – has been hammering the party to cut off Israel for two years.
Fetterman is watching the pressure campaign and he knows exactly where it ends.
The Trap Democrats Are Walking Into
Pennsylvania is a state Trump won twice.
The Democrats' only senator in that state just proved he can win Republican voters – the exact voters the party needs to stop hemorrhaging if it ever wants to win again.
The correct play is obvious: let Fetterman be Fetterman, keep the seat, and fight about ideology after the election.
Instead, they're calling him a traitor, refusing to endorse him, and recruiting primary challengers.
Chuck Schumer is doing his best impression of a hostage negotiator – "People in our caucus very much like him and respect him, and we're a big-tent party" – while everyone watching knows the tent poles are about to collapse.
The Democrats spent two years screaming that Republican voters were unreachable, that the working class was gone forever, that Trump had broken the coalition permanently.
John Fetterman just showed them 73 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans willing to cross the aisle.
Their response is to schedule a firing squad.
