Democrats are trying to distract the American people with the January 6 hearings.
But voters have other issues on their minds.
And one election win is already giving the Democrats nightmares.
Sobering reality is beginning to set in for Democrats.
They thought they could print more money than has ever existed in U.S. history, force people not to work, and undercut the energy sector and suffer no consequences.
But now the chickens are coming home to roost.
Democrats are getting hammered on the economy, namely inflation, and voters are voicing their frustration.
In a preview of what is likely to come in the November Midterms, a deep-blue district in South Texas just flipped Republican.
Republican Mayra Flores defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez in a special election.
What’s perhaps the most disconcerting for the Democrats is that the area has a heavy Hispanic population.
Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report wrote on Twitter, “I’ve seen enough: Mayra Flores (R) defeats Dan Sanchez (D) in the #TX34 special election, flipping an 84% Hispanic Rio Grande Valley seat red . . . This special election was held under the old #TX34 lines, which are Biden +4. In November, she’ll face Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D) in the redrawn #TX34, which is Biden +15. Cook Political November rating: Lean D.”
Flores’ win should serve as a huge wake-up call for the Democrats.
It’s also telling that the redrawn district for November that went heavy for Joe Biden is only rated as “lean Democrat.”
Any district that Biden didn’t win by 20+ points is up for grabs because the Democrats have become so unpopular.
For nearly 20 years, they boasted about their unbeatable coalition of nonwhite voters, but Latinos are currently trending Republican.
It turns out that Hispanic voters do not want open borders and far-left economic policies that cost them their jobs.
MSNBC columnist Eric Michael Garcia warned, “There is a political earthquake happening in Latino politics in South Texas and there is a reason I have been saying it will be voting like West Virginia . . . But . . . I expected this in two decades . . . This should be a five alarm fire for Democrats.”
This is the same problem that radical leftists have always had.
When people move into the middle class, they don’t vote the way that revolutionaries on the hard Left want them to vote.
That’s why the Left always needs a new “oppressed class” to champion in order to keep “the revolution” going.
It’s no accident Democrats are focused on indoctrinating kids as soon as possible and turning the radical transgender issue into a broad civil rights cause.
If the Democrats triple down on their radicalism, they’re going to alienate more and more voters.
