A giddy Joe Biden taunted the media, pundits, and pollsters on Wednesday for predicting a red wave election.
Biden called it a “strong night” for Democrats across the country.
But Obama’s former top advisor just dropped a truthbomb on Joe Biden about the Midterm elections.
On Wednesday, Joe Biden held a press conference at the White House to discuss the Midterm election results.
Even though there is a good chance that Republicans end up controlling the U.S. House, Biden boasted that it was a “strong night” for the Party.
Biden mocked members of the press for predicting a red wave on Tuesday.
“While the press and the pundits are predicting a giant red wave, it didn’t happen,” he said.
Biden also told reporters that he would do absolutely “nothing” differently in the future and would continue pushing forward with his same agenda.
“What, in the next two years, do you intend to do differently to change people’s opinion of the direction of the country, particularly as you contemplate a run for President in 2024?” a reporter asked.
“Nothing,” Biden arrogantly fired back.
“I’m not going to change anything in any fundamental way,” Biden said after he ranted about spending trillions of dollars on infrastructure and green energy.
But Barack Obama’s former top advisor believes Joe Biden is interpreting the election results the wrong way.
During CNN’s election coverage on Wednesday, CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama adviser David Axelrod said the 2022 Midterm election “wasn’t an affirmation of policies” like Biden claims.
“Look, what I would advise would be to understand what the message was yesterday,” Axelrod said. “I think it was a repudiation of extremism in all its forms,” he continued, before adding “and I think he should note that and understand this wasn’t an affirmation of policies so much as that, and recognize that people are still struggling with inflation and other challenges and our job is to work together to try and solve them.”
“I would advise against triumphalism and I would make it not about him, but about the country, and what it says about the country, and where we have to lead,” he concluded.
Of course, Joe Biden is doing the exact opposite.
“I don’t look at them much anymore,” Biden said when asked about polls showing inflation was still a top concern for Americans.
Despite the results of Tuesday’s election, inflation is certainly a top concern for American families as prices are skyrocketing on gas and groceries.
But Joe Biden is promising to press the gas down on the same policies that caused the inflation crisis.
