Norah O'Donnell went on a podcast this week and told the world her colleagues are "fearful about what the future means" at CBS – and she said it like someone who already knows what's coming.

O'Donnell spent nearly 14 years building her career inside the CBS machine – anchoring the evening news, covering the White House, appearing on "60 Minutes."
She knows where the bodies are buried.
So when she tells a podcast host that "people are fearful about what the future means," she's not talking about budget spreadsheets.
She's talking about a newsroom that spent decades pushing one agenda suddenly being asked to tell the truth – and panicking because they don't know how.
That's what Bari Weiss walked into last October when Paramount CEO David Ellison handed her the keys to CBS News.
Weiss had one mission: fix a network so corrupt it paid Donald Trump $16 million to settle a lawsuit over a manipulated "60 Minutes" interview with Kamala Harris.

Anderson Cooper – announced Monday he's leaving "60 Minutes" after nearly two decades.
Producer Alicia Hastey took a buyout last week and published a farewell letter accusing CBS leadership of pushing "ideological expectations" onto stories.
And eleven members of the "CBS Evening News" production team – more than a quarter of the non-union staff – have taken buyout offers and walked out the door.
A CBS insider told the New York Post: "Seems like people are jumping ship."
They're right – but ask yourself why.
These aren't journalists being silenced by a conservative overlord.
These are activists who spent careers deciding what you were allowed to know, and they're leaving because someone finally told them that ends now.

The left-wing media has spent months calling Bari Weiss "dangerous" for one simple reason.
She believes Americans deserve to hear more than one perspective.
