Hunter Biden has been under federal investigation for the past two years.
Several news outlets recently reported that the FBI now believes it has a solid case against Hunter on charges of tax evasion and making false statements on a federal firearms background check form.

Hunter Biden has been a dark cloud over Joe Biden’s head ever since the New York Post broke the infamous “laptop from hell” story during the 2016 election that the FBI and social media companies censored from the public as Russian disinformation.
Hunter is currently under federal investigation for tax crimes and lying on a federal form to purchase a gun.
However, if Republicans take back Congress on November 8, GOP leaders are promising to investigate Hunter’s shady foreign business deals.
Both Joe and Jill Biden continue to defend their son’s innocence despite the mountain of evidence against him.
Jill Biden discussed Joe Biden’s Presidency, his future, and the investigations surrounding Hunter during an interview with NBC News on Wednesday.
The interview began with a discussion on whether or not Jill believes Joe should run for President again in 2024.
“He understands the government better than anybody else,” Jill Biden said when making the case for a second term.
Jill Biden said right now her top priority is helping Democrats hang on to their majorities on November 8.
“I’m trying to elect Democrats,” she said. “We’ve got to keep the majority – we’ve got to do it.”
The conversation then turned to the big stain hanging over the Biden family regarding Hunter’s laptop and the investigations into his potential criminal activity.
Jill Biden defended Hunter as completely “innocent” of any crime.
“Everybody and their brother has investigated Hunter,” she said. “They keep at it, and at it, and at it,” she continued, adding “I know that Hunter is innocent.”
“I love my son, and I will keep looking forward,” she added.
Joe Biden also defended Hunter during a recent interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
“I have great confidence in my son,” Joe Biden. “I love him and he’s on the straight and narrow, and he has been for a couple years now,” he continued, adding that “I’m just so proud of him.”
Political winds have shifted in the GOP’s favor.
Jill and Joe Biden may claim Hunter is innocent.
But that won’t stop Republicans from launching a full investigation into Hunter’s overseas business deals if they take back Congress.
