The end of Nancy Pelosi’s political career is not a blaze of glory.
Pelosi is in shambles following the November election.
And Nancy Pelosi spit in the face of the Catholic Church with this disgusting insult.
Nancy Pelosi disrespects Catholic Bishop
In 2022, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone wrote a letter to Nancy Pelosi urging her to abandon her support for abortion-on-demand or else he would be forced to instruct priests in her home parish to deny her Holy Communion.
Cordileone noted Pelosi stood by the taking of innocent human life up until the day of birth and thus left him no choice.
“As you have not publicly repudiated your position on abortion, and continue to refer to your Catholic faith in justifying your position and to receive Holy Communion, that time has now come,” Cordileone wrote.
Cordileone told Pelosi that he was hereby banning her from receiving the Eucharist if she attended mass.
“Therefore, in light of my responsibility as the Archbishop of San Francisco to be “concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care” (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, §1), by means of this communication I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” Cordileone added.
Two years later Pelosi told the National Catholic Reporter that she didn’t care what the Archbishop said.
Pelosi scoffed at the idea that church teaching applied to her and she claimed her personal choices were superior to the official teachings of the Catholic faith regarding the sanctity of life.
“I received Communion anyway. That’s his problem, not mine,” Pelosi declared. “My Catholic faith is, Christ is my savior. It has nothing to do with the bishops.”
Pelosi claimed that supporting abortion-on-demand – as well as homosexual marriage and the transgender agenda – meant she was a Catholic in good standing.
“My faith is always with me. I always feel there’s an angel on my shoulder,” Pelosi added.
“That spark of divinity is what I respect in every person, especially if they respect it in themselves,” Pelosi stated.
Pelosi also addressed the election results.
Donald Trump won Catholics 56 to 41 percent – a 20-point swing in his direction from 2020.
Pelosi claimed it was because some Democrat-leaning Catholics stayed home rather than admit Pelosi and Biden – the Democrat Party is anti-Catholic.
“A lot of people didn’t vote,” Pelosi baselessly argued. “That subtracted from our number, and that may be why we have fewer Catholics voting that way.”
Not only did Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi support abortion up until birth with zero limits.
But the Biden administration also oversaw the FBI recruiting spies to infiltrate the church to frame devout Catholics who attended Latin mass as domestic extremists.
Pelosi and the Democrat Party have a lot of soul-searching to do about why they lost the Catholic vote in such a landslide fashion.
