Nancy Pelosi’s leadership is on shaky ground, and she knows it.
She knows if history proves true, the Republicans will regain control in 2022, and she could be kissing her time in Congress goodbye.
And it looks like Nancy Pelosi may have just been handed her walking papers by someone she least expected.
Pelosi claims she is a devout Catholic.
However, even the most basic understanding of Catholic doctrine proves otherwise.
And the Archbishop of Pelosi’s hometown just called her out on it.
Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileon recently wrote the powerful piece “Before I Formed You In The Womb, I Knew You,” which has since gone viral.
In the document, the Archbishop calls out elected officials who openly support abortion for undermining Catholic teaching.
“If you find that you are unwilling or unable to abandon your advocacy for abortion, you should not come forward to receive Holy Communion. To publicly affirm the Catholic faith while at the same time publicly rejecting one of its most fundamental teachings is simply dishonest,” the Archbishop wrote.
Archbishop Cordileone continued, “If their participation in the evil of abortion is not addressed forthrightly by their pastors, this can lead Catholics (and others) to assume that the moral teaching of the Catholic Church on the inviolate sanctity of human life is not seriously held.”
Pelosi is not alone in her supposed devout Catholicism but open support for the murdering of human life – Joe Biden also claims to be Catholic and pro-abortion.
Thankfully members of the religious community like Archbishop Cordileone are refusing to stay quiet.
The U.S. Council of Bishops is discussing a plan to refuse communion to politicians like Pelosi and Biden on the grounds that the support of abortion is a grave sin.
It seems that much like their politics, the Democrats think even church teachings can be twisted to fit their narrative.
Again, a simple understanding of Catholic doctrine or a quick Google search will prove that supporting the killing of innocent life is not accepted and is considered a sin that one must seek forgiveness for and renounce their past support for.
Pelosi needs to think twice about her stance because the Catholic vote is one that most politicians like to have in their back pocket.
A loss of the Catholic vote in 2022 could most certainly spell disaster for Pelosi.
