Nancy Pelosi holds the one letter that could make or break Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s career

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has stirred up nothing but controversy since she arrived in the halls of Congress.

Unfortunately for Ocasio-Cortez, she may have pushed it a little too far this time.

And, now, Nancy Pelosi holds the one letter that could make or break Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s career.

Recently, Nancy Pelosi received a letter from Texas Congressman Chip Roy after Ocasio-Cortez falsely accused Texas Senator Ted Cruz of trying to murder her.

In the letter, Congressman Roy said, “It has come to my attention that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent out a tweet a few hours ago in which she accused Senator Ted Cruz, in essence, of attempted murder.”

In the letter, Roy pointed out to Pelosi that a Senator pursuing a constitutional prerogative to file an objection to the Electoral College results was not equivalent to trying to kill Ocasio-Cortez.  Roy went on to write that he feared such over the top language from Ocasio-Cortez could incite her supporters to violence.

“As a member of this body who disagreed with ‘objections’ to the electors and who has expressed publicly my concerns about the events leading to January 6th, it is completely unacceptable behavior for a Member of Congress to make this kind of scurrilous charge against another member in the House or Senate for simply engaging in speech and debate regarding electors as they interpreted the Constitution,” Roy added.

Roy concluded the letter by asking Pelosi to immediately demand an apology from Ocasio-Cortez.

The letter from Roy came in response to Ocasio-Cortez making wild and inaccurate claims that Senator Cruz incited rioters to kill her during the January 6 mayhem.

Ocasio-Cortez wrote, “I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.  Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.”

If one goes by the definitions the Democrats use, then Ocasio-Cortez should be held just as responsible for inciting violence, and she says Cruz should be.
