And Mitch McConnell delivered a punch in the gut to conservatives with this stunning betrayal.

Republicans are fighting to retake control of the Senate after November’s Midterm elections.

With each party tied at 50 Senators a piece, the battle for control of the Senate will be decided by a handful of battleground states.

Republicans are hoping to ride a “Red Wave” this November, but Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is doing everything in his power to take the wind out of conservatives’ sails ahead of the crucial election.

McConnell stabbed conservatives in the back to hand Joe Biden some of the biggest wins of his Presidency while he was on the ropes.

He worked to secure passage of a major gun control bill and a pork barrel infrastructure bill for Biden.

McConnell is fuming that this year’s GOP Senate Primaries proved that Donald Trump is still in control of the Republican Party.

Donald Trump-endorsed Senate candidates prevailed against establishment candidates in GOP primaries in major battleground states that will decide control of the upper chamber.

At a Chamber of Commerce event in his native Kentucky, McConnell took a shot at Trump-endorsed candidates, casting doubt on whether the GOP can pick up the Senate.

“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate,” said McConnell. “Senate races are just different, they’re statewide. Candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome.”

One of the biggest Senate races in the country is in Arizona where Trump-endorsed Blake Masters is squaring off against incumbent Democrat Mark Kelly.

Kelly is considered one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats up for reelection after serving as a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s radical agenda.

Masters is a political newcomer who prevailed in a crowded primary after receiving an endorsement from Donald Trump.

Because of Arizona’s early August primary, Masters got a late start on transitioning to campaigning in November’s General Election.

After winning a hard fought Republican Primary Masters is lagging behind Mark Kelly in fundraising as campaign season heats up.

Kelly has raised $54 million while Masters only has about $4 million in the bank.

Conservatives were hoping that spending by outside groups would blunt Kelly’s cash advantage.

Now it appears that Mitch McConnell’s affiliated PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), is going to leave Blake Masters high and dry in Arizona.

The SLF is reportedly canceling $9.6 million the PAC reserved in TV ads this fall.

Axios reported the SLF, one of the biggest spenders for Republican Senate races, is “confident” other conservative groups will pick up the slack in the state.

The establishment is already trying to pin the blame on Trump-backed candidates if the GOP doesn’t fulfill expectations in key Senate races.

And Mitch McConnell is trying to hurt Donald Trump ahead of 2024 by throwing his endorsed Senate candidates overboard in crucial races.
