Pete Buttigieg’s tenure as Transportation Secretary has been one disaster after another.

The criticism is becoming too much for Buttigieg to handle.

But Pence cut one joke about maternity leave that sent Pete Buttigieg’s husband into a fit of rage.

The American people are furious over Transportation Secretary Pete Butigieg’s lackluster response to the train that derailed in East Palestine, Ohio and spilled toxic chemicals into the air and water.

It took Pete Buttigieg ten days to even mention the disaster in a post on social media and he only visited the area after Donald Trump showed up with several truckloads of water and cleaning supplies for residents the day before.

And a new Rasmussen Reports survey released found the majority of Americans – 51 percent – believe he should resign immediately.

36 percent said he should not resign and 13 percent remain unsure.

Buttigieg’s failure in East Palestine was just one of many failures of his in the past two years.

Buttigieg fled the country and vacationed in Portugal during intense negotiations over a potentially economic-crushing rail strike.

Thousands of flights were canceled and tens of thousands of passengers were left stranded at the airport over Christmas due to snow storms and not long after the FAA’s computer system crashed for the first time since 9/11.

Buttigieg has been missing in action since he first took the job.

A married homosexual and after having adopted two children, he disappeared on unannounced paternity leave within months of taking the job while America suffered from a massive supply chain crisis.

During an event over the weekend in Washington, D.C., Mike Pence joked about how Buttigieg went on “maternity leave” in 2021.

Pence said Buttigieg “is the only person in human history to have a child and everyone else gets postpartum depression.”

Apparently Pence’s joke ruffled the feathers of Buttigieg’s “husband,” Chasten Buttigieg.

“An honest question for you after your attempted joke this weekend,” he posted on social media along with a photo of Pete Buttigieg babysitting. “If your grandchild was born prematurely and placed on a ventilator at two months old ― their tiny fingers wrapped around yours as the monitors beep in the background ― where would you be?”

Mike Pence hit a sore spot with Pete Buttigieg.

During the supply chain crisis, the administration tried to keep Americans in the dark about him being out on “paternity” leave.

But Politico blew the lid on the administration’s secret in October of 2021.

“They didn’t previously announce it, but Buttigieg’s office told West Wing Playbook that the secretary has actually been on paid leave since mid-August to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies,” Playbook reported.

Pence’s joke also left Karine Jean-Pierre outraged.

On Monday, she declared that Pence should apologize to “women and LGBTQ+ people.”

Pete Buttigieg has been a giant failure as Transportation Secretary.

Joe Biden and the Democrats know this is true.

And they are trying to deflect by gaslighting Americans into thinking any criticism of Buttigieg is an attack on the LGBT community.
