In a move straight out of a banana republic, the FBI launched an unannounced raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
Attorney General Merrick Garland personally signed off on the raid against Joe Biden’s likely opponent in the next presidential election.
The raid confirmed that Garland is a political hatchet man masquerading as the country’s top law enforcement official.
Targeting a President’s likely political opponent with the FBI was an unprecedented weaponization of the federal government.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is one of Donald Trump’s strongest defenders in Congress and a champion for his America First agenda.
After the FBI raid, she put Merrick Garland on notice for his outrageous abuse of power siccing the FBI on Trump.
Taylor Greene filed two articles of impeachment against Garland for his role in the FBI.
“Merrick Garland has abused his position of power, as the attorney general, to politically persecute Joe Biden’s enemies. And the whole purpose of this is to prevent President Trump from ever being able to hold office,” Taylor Greene said to reporters after filing the resolution.
“So, I’m on my way in the Capitol right now. And I’m introducing Articles of Impeachment on Merrick Garland, because we cannot tolerate this in America, where our great institutions are wielded and abused in such a way to defeat people’s political enemies. That’s not what this is for. And it should never exist,” Taylor Greene added.
Her resolution filing for impeachment torches Garland for “endangering, compromising, and undermining the justice of the United States” by targeting Joe Biden’s political rival Donald Trump.
The first article of impeachment claims Garland broke his oath to uphold the law by “politicizing the Department of Justice and utilizing the Federal Bureau of Investigations as a Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime.”
The second article of impeachment states that Garland persecuted President Trump over documents that he legally declassified.
The raid was allegedly over classified documents that Trump took with him from the White House but he claims that his Presidential authority gave him the power to declassify documents.
This is the second time articles of impeachment have been filed against Merrick Garland by a House Republican.
Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) filed them after the FBI was caught targeting parents protesting Marxist indoctrination at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s impeachment filing could be setting the stage for Republicans if they retake control of Congress after the Midterm elections.
With conservatives outraged over Merrick Garland’s abuse of power, only a Republican Congressional majority could ever have a chance of holding him accountable.
