Megyn Kelly just looked Stephen A. Smith in the eye on live television and said "A plus."
What Trump Actually Delivered
This wasn't a participation trophy.
Kelly gave Trump a letter grade on the two issues she said mattered most to her – and she didn't hedge a word of it.
"The two main things that I was hoping Trump would do, he has done," Kelly told Smith on Tuesday. "I wanted him to push back against the trans insanity, and I wanted him to close the border. And I give him an A+ on both of those."
The record backs her up.
Since January 2025, the Trump administration achieved negative net migration for the first time in half a century.
Border Patrol apprehensions are running under 7,000 per month – compared to a Biden-era peak of 370,883 encounters in a single month.
Catch-and-release has effectively ended, with CBP reporting seven consecutive months of zero illegal migrants released into the country.
On the trans front, Trump signed the executive order banning biological males from women's sports in February 2025.
The NCAA complied within 24 hours. Schools that refuse risk losing federal funding.

The trans ideology that Democrats spent a decade mainstreaming is getting bulldozed one executive order at a time.
Democrats told you closing the border was impossible and rolling back the trans agenda was extremism.
Why Kelly Said It Out Loud
The reason Kelly's comments matter is not the grade itself.
It's the timing.
Tucker Carlson just publicly broke with Trump – apologized on his own show for "misleading people" and said he would "be tormented by it for a long time."
That's a massive story in conservative media circles.
When a figure of Tucker's stature walks, it creates pressure on everyone else to follow or explain why they won't.
Kelly chose to explain.
"I like my friend Tucker," she told Smith. "His number one issue is don't start any new wars. And Trump said one thing and did another. So I understand why he's completely broken with him, and he regrets the endorsement."
She gets it.
But she has different priorities.
"We have different priorities, and so we're in different places on that."

That's an honest answer.
And it's the right one for anyone who voted for Trump because they were exhausted watching children get trafficked across an open border and watching teenage girls lose their sports scholarships to biological males.
The Left Wants You to Think This Movement Is Falling Apart
Every mainstream media outlet covering Tucker's break from Trump is pushing the same story: the coalition is cracking, the movement is fracturing, Trump is finished.
Don't buy it.
Tucker and Megyn have always had different priorities.
Tucker's north star was no new wars.
Megyn's was the border and the cultural insanity.
Trump delivered for Megyn. He didn't deliver for Tucker.
That's not a coalition fracturing.
That's a coalition being honest about its wins – and its losses.
The left wants you to believe any conservative who says a critical word about Trump is evidence the whole thing is collapsing.
But Kelly said something far more politically dangerous than a break.
She gave him an A+. On camera. To Stephen A. Smith. Two weeks before the midterm cycle kicks into high gear.
Over two million illegals removed.
The most secure border in American history. Boys out of girls' locker rooms.
Democrats called every single one of those things impossible.
They weren't.
