The U.S. women’s soccer team is one of the most polarizing and unpopular sports teams in American history.
After the team’s elimination from the World Cup not many Americans felt sorry for this team.
And Megyn Kelly destroyed the U.S. women’s soccer team over this national anthem insult.
Sweden eliminated the U.S. in the Women’s World Cup Round of 16 5-4 on penalty kicks.
The women’s soccer team was a controversial team since star player Megan Rapinoe led the team in kneeling for the national anthem in support of Colin Kaepernick.
During their victorious 2019 World Cup campaign, the team then began feuding with Donald Trump.
In this World Cup, the women’s soccer team alienated Americans by disrespecting the national anthem and refusing to sing the Star Spangled Banner.

When the U.S. women’s team lost to Sweden in a penalty shootout, many Americans cheered the result and were thrilled to see a team that hates the country lose in disgrace.
Megyn Kelly was among those disgusted with the actions of the U.S. women’s soccer team and who also thought the team got what it deserved with the defeat.
“I couldn’t care less about the loss. Couldn’t care less,” Kelly told guest Clay Travis.
Kelly said the team – which played poorly throughout the World Cup – was too wrapped up in their woke political activism and did not focus on what really mattered – their play on the field.
“I hope that they took a lesson from losing that we all want our kids to learn when things go down. Which is, be introspective. Figure out how it happened. And in this case, they didn’t have their eye on the ball. They had their eye on their woke activism, which has been this way for a while,” Kelly added.
Kelly claimed the team blindly followed Megan Rapinoe’s lead in getting involved in politics and now that Rapinoe is retiring from competition the team has a chance to reboot by removing itself from politics and getting back to basics.
“But Megan Rapinoe and her imprint on the team has now really made its mark. And I’m thrilled she’s gone. I feel like there’s a future now for this team potentially without this woman at the helm,” Kelly continued.
Travis said once Rapinoe started feuding with Donald Trump the rest of the team fell in line because the team identified with the political Left, which destroyed the national team’s appeal.
“From that point forward, they allowed, I think, the woke instincts of Megan Rapinoe to direct every decision they made. They became polarizing. They became, frankly, quite unlikable. And ultimately, that led to and I think this is important, the single worst performance by the US women’s World Cup team ever,” Travis stated.
Travis explained that Joe Biden praising the team and Rapinoe missing a critical penalty kick epitomized the fact that the team became an avatar for the woke Left, which became the team’s calling card as opposed to their play on the field.
“And yet Joe Biden puts out a tweet praising them, talking about how beloved they are and how proud of them he was. And to me, Megyn, when you look at Rapinoe in the way that she shanked that penalty kick, it went to the far right, ironically, but a reaction where she’s smiling and kind of laughing. To me, it epitomized the way that the U.S. women played this entire World Cup. They were awful,” Travis concluded.
