Megyn Kelly Demolished Jasmine Crockett for Lying About a Murder Trial on Her Way Out the Door

Jasmine Crockett has seven months left in Congress and nothing left to lose.

Hours after a Texas jury convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder and sentenced him to 35 years, Crockett went on her podcast and made up facts about the case.

But Megyn Kelly noticed – and she didn't hold back.

What Crockett Actually Said

On Tuesday's episode of Clock It with Crockett, the lame-duck congresswoman – who is also a licensed attorney – downplayed the knife Anthony used to stab 17-year-old Austin Metcalf through the chest at a Frisco track meet.

"Was it a switch? I don't know what he had," Crockett said.

Her guest called it a "multi-tool" similar to a Swiss army knife.

Crockett ran with it.

"Yeah, like with the little scissors and everything and whatever. So, it was small," she claimed. "Well, I would argue the size of it alone you wouldn't even think it's a deadly weapon."

That knife was a semi-serrated, 5-inch pocket knife that penetrated Metcalf's sternum and entered his heart.

It was, in fact, a deadly weapon.

Defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh wasn't gentle on Wednesday's edition of The Megyn Kelly Show.

"She's an idiot. That was a ridiculous statement to be made on so many fronts," he said. "It did the trick, Congressman Crockett, so you know it's a deadly weapon, okay? That was insane."

Then Crockett went further.

She invented a version of the confrontation where Metcalf – a 17-year-old athlete – was a 300-pound freight train pounding Anthony into the ground.

"If a 300-pound man is beating me, like on top of me and beating me down, I'm not limited to fists," she said. "I think by the time you start getting to like football player, good argument. Good freaking argument."

The actual record: Metcalf pushed Anthony.

That's it.

Eiglarsh put it plainly.

"Anyone watching her would erroneously think this 300-pound person is pounding him, which would change the facts. That is what she is erroneously suggesting. That is dangerous, what she is doing," he said.

Then came the jury claim.

Crockett told her audience she wasn't convinced the case had "12 impartial White folk out of Collin County sitting on a jury for this young black man."

Fox News Digital confirmed the jury included three racial minorities – Asian and Indian – with eight women and four men.

The claim was flatly false.

Megyn Says the Quiet Part Out Loud

Megyn Kelly had a simple question for her audience.

"To create a race riot, would you talk differently than that?"

She didn't think so.

"She is not confused,” she said. “She is just going with the race thing and pandering. Her career is over… She is bitter. She has decided to lean into this persona."

Attorney Viva Frei was more direct.

"It is political and legal retardation,” he said. “There is no other way to explain this. I'm convinced she is actually just stupid, but she is maliciously motivated," he said. "The only grip that they can get out of this – other than demonizing and dehumanizing the victim – is to stir up a base that they know is stupid and that they know is ready for action."

Investigative journalist Sarah Fields was in the courtroom every day of the trial.

"To them, Austin is not a victim, they are the victim," she said. "It is professional victimhood, and, without their professional victimhood, they would have nothing."

Austin Metcalf's mother looked directly at Anthony during sentencing.

"Lucky you got 35 years, because I've been given a life sentence without my son," she said.

Crockett had nothing to say about that.

What This Is Really About

Crockett lost her Senate primary in March to a lesser-known state legislator, gave up her House seat to run, and leaves Washington, DC in January.

What she has left is a podcast, a grievance, and an audience that wants to hear Austin Metcalf was the problem.

That's the business model now.

Feed the base facts that aren't facts.

Call a murder weapon a Swiss army knife.

Call a jury all-white when it wasn't.

Call a dead 17-year-old a 300-pound threat when the evidence showed he pushed someone and got stabbed in the heart for it.

The jury deliberated for three hours and came back unanimous.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis told reporters outside the courthouse exactly what happened: "Justice was served."

Crockett was recording a podcast – spreading disinformation about a murder she didn't witness to an audience she's stoking toward outrage.

Megyn Kelly named it correctly.

"It's a group of race hustlers who are trying to create a race war. Meanwhile, the victims, who happen to be white, haven't done any of that."

She's out the door in January.

Expect every month between now and then to look exactly like this.
