Sunny Hostin spent years calling herself a prosecutor on national television.
Now a murdered boy’s father is offering to fly to New York and tell her exactly what she got wrong – on her own show.

What Hostin Actually Said on The View
A Texas jury convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder in three hours.
Three hours to sort through four days of testimony, witness after witness describing Anthony entering the Memorial High School tent uninvited, refusing to leave after being asked to go 15 times, reaching into his bag, and saying “Touch me and see what happens.”
Hostin watched that same verdict and went on The View to argue Anthony had a legitimate self-defense claim.
She cited the size difference between the two boys as a reason the jury got it wrong.
There was one problem – she fabricated the numbers.

Hostin told her audience Anthony weighed 130 pounds and Metcalf weighed 200 pounds.
Trial records showed Metcalf at 6-foot, 200 pounds and Anthony at 5-foot-11 and 162 pounds.
Both were 17-year-old high school athletes.
She then argued the jury was unfair because no black jurors were seated – ignoring that prosecutors provided race-neutral justifications for every strike the defense challenged, the judge accepted those explanations, and one prospective juror had been removed after stating he could not “put a brother in jail.”

Megyn Kelly Dismantled It Fact by Fact
Kelly is a former attorney who knows how self-defense law actually works.
She took Hostin’s argument apart the way a lawyer cross-examines a hostile witness – point by point, with barely contained fury.
Anthony walked into Metcalf’s team tent.
Anthony refused to leave after repeated requests.
Anthony reached into a bag and said “Touch me and see what happens.”
“You cannot taunt someone, beg someone to lay hands on you and then when they do so, stab them in the heart and say, oh, gee, I was just defending myself,” Kelly said.

She called Hostin a “dishonest hack.”
She pointed out that Hostin’s jury argument is not just wrong – it is a misstatement of settled Supreme Court law that Hostin, as a former prosecutor, knows perfectly well.
The Father They Will Not Face
Jeff Metcalf buried his son.
He sat in that courtroom with his other son, Hunter – Austin’s twin brother – and heard 20-plus witnesses describe exactly what happened the day Austin was killed.
When Will Cain told him what Hostin said on The View, Jeff did not yell.
He was precise.
“If that woman said that, she has no idea about the facts of the case – but she wants to spew her public opinion on a platform that reaches millions of people every day,” he said.
He told Cain that Hostin and commentators like her are “looking to monetize the death of my son.”
The Dare That Tells You Everything
Megyn Kelly played that clip and issued her challenge directly.
“Oh, do it, I dare you,” Kelly said. “If those women of The View have any spine whatsoever, they’ll do it. They’ll take him out. This is a grieving dad of an actual murder victim at 17 years old and he’s offering to come on your show and talk truth about what happened in this case.”

The View has not responded.
A show that put its credibility behind a self-defense argument a jury dismissed in three hours – built on fabricated weight numbers, a misstatement of jury law, and racial framing the victim’s own father rejected – will not sit across from the man whose son was killed and defend any of it.
That silence is the answer.
Hostin built a career as a legal expert.
She knew those Supreme Court precedents when she misrepresented them.
She knew Anthony’s actual weight when she cut 32 pounds off it on national television.
She did it anyway – and Jeff Metcalf named exactly what that is.
