Meghan Markle tries to carefully shape her public image.
She doesn’t want the public to see who she really is.
And Meghan Markle slammed her fist in rage after her neighbors revealed this awful secret.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s neighbors spill the beans on them
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit their jobs as senior members of the British Royal Family in 2020 and left the United Kingdom behind for South California.
The royal couple settled in the wealthy city of Montecito, California outside of Santa Barbara.
Montecito is known as a celebrity enclave where Oprah Winfrey, Troy Aikman, and Gwyneth Paltrow have estates.
The German TV network ZDF released a documentary, Prince Harry – The Lost Prince, that explores Harry and Meghan’s life in California.
Filmmakers visited Montecito and talked to some of the couple’s neighbors.
Montecito resident Richard Mineards, who lives near the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, had harsh words for Meghan.
“I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community,” Mineards said. “She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community.”
Mineards said that Harry was “jolly” but mostly kept to himself.
German documentary embarrassing for Harry and Meghan
Royal experts who watched the documentary cringed at what it revealed about Harry and Meghan.
“I would describe it as an encyclopedia of Harry and Meghan’s low points over the last few years,” To Di For Daily podcast host Kinsey Schofield said. “It gives you the sense that Meghan is as lonely and isolated as the rumors suggest. Additionally, it makes you wonder why they are so eager to chase after communities and photo ops all over the world if they aren’t even doing anything at home.”
British Royal Family expert Hilary Fordwich said that the couple’s neighbors in Montecito have tried to be friendly with them but they’ve gotten the cold shoulder.
“In terms of community, the documentary was clear that invitations from the local Montecito community, to attend events, go unanswered,” Fordwich explained. “So, neither Harry nor Meghan are interested in those around them.”
Fordwich added that Harry seemed isolated in the California town.
A neighbor of theirs in Montecito suggested that “Harry’s dogs and bodyguard are his best friends,” Fordwich added.
The couple lives in a Mediterranean-style mansion that boasts 16 bathrooms, a tennis court, and a pool.
Schofield was surprised at how disconnected the couple was from their community.
“To me, one of the biggest revelations to come out of the documentary was . . . that Meghan is not very popular in her neighborhood and has not been involved in the Montecito community,” Schofield stated. “[The couple’s charity] Archewell repeats the term ‘community impact’ constantly – yet Meghan is a stranger in her community.”
Fordwich said that the documentary doesn’t break any new ground but it does leave viewers with an important takeaway.
“Every one interviewed confirmed what we know – that they are far removed from the public portrayal of themselves as activists and charity campaigners . . . The impact will be to further reinforce all the negative images,” Fordwich said.
