Democrats picked Memorial Day to protest the people keeping child rapists off New Jersey streets.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin just torched every single one of them by name.
He asked them one question they cannot answer – and the silence tells you everything.
The Stunt That Backfired Immediately
Cory Booker, Governor Mikie Sherrill, Senator Andy Kim, and Reps. Rob Menendez and Nellie Pou spent their Memorial Day weekend outside Delaney Hall, the ICE detention facility in Newark, screaming about "deplorable conditions" and "unconstitutional" treatment of illegal immigrants.
Sherrill showed up demanding entry and posted on X that being turned away raised "questions about what they are trying to hide."
Menendez announced he had "spent all night" at the facility conducting what he called an "unannounced oversight visit."
Booker vowed to return.
Protesters soaked ICE agents with water. Others locked arms across the entrance road to stop vehicles from moving.
Several were detained after refusing to clear the area.
Mullin had seen enough.
"This is nothing more than a political stunt by New Jersey sanctuary politicians for fundraising clicks," he wrote on X.

Then he listed every one of them by name and said what nobody in Washington will say out loud.
The Question They Cannot Answer
Mullin didn't hedge.
"Dozens of New Jersey sanctuary politicians chose to spend their Memorial Day weekend smearing ICE law enforcement," he wrote. "They should be thanking our law enforcement for removing these murderers, pedophiles, rapists and drug traffickers from their state."
Then came the question.
"Would these sanctuary politicians like to house these criminals in their homes or have them as neighbors?" he asked.
Booker won't answer that.
Sherrill won't answer that.
None of them will – because the answer exposes everything.
These aren't political prisoners at Delaney Hall.
DHS confirmed that every meal is evaluated by a certified dietitian, detainees receive three meals a day alongside clean water, clothing, bedding, and hygiene supplies, and every person in that facility can pick up a phone and call their family or their lawyer anytime they want.
Then DHS added the line that should end the entire argument: "ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens."
The people Democrats spent Memorial Day defending are living better than Americans locked up in state facilities.
This Is What Memorial Day Has Become for the Left
Democrats ran this same play in 2018 and 2019 – showing up at detention facilities with cameras, crying for reporters, then disappearing the moment the news cycle moved.
The fundraising emails went out within hours every time.
Nothing changed inside the facilities because nothing needed to change.
Mullin knows exactly what this is.
"We need these sanctuary politicians to stop peddling this garbage and cooperate with us to get these criminals out of their state," he wrote.
That's the part that stings.
New Jersey Democrats aren't fighting for their constituents.
They're fighting to keep MS-13 members, drug traffickers, and sex offenders in their state rather than let ICE remove them.
They chose Memorial Day to make that case.
Mullin chose Memorial Day to make them own it.
Booker is already promising to go back.
Mullin is waiting for his answer.
