Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the rising stars in the conservative movement.

Her political career is continuing its upward trajectory.

And Marjorie Taylor Greene got a new job that took everyone by surprise.

Marjorie Taylor Greene to partner with Elon Musk on new project

The federal government has become a bloated monstrosity where waste, fraud, and abuse have become an everyday occurrence.

President-elect Donald Trump is serious about slashing regulations and wasteful spending from the federal government.

He tasked Tesla CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) advisory committee to find spending cuts and regulations to eliminate.

The pair is working with some of Musk’s allies in Silicon Valley, including business leaders and legal advisors.

Musk and Ramaswamy laid out their vision to cut spending, reduce the number of federal employees, and eliminate burdensome regulations using executive power in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced that Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) would chair a new subcommittee to help DOGE with its efforts.

Greene will lead the new Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The DOGE Subcommittee will be created when House Republicans start the next session of Congress in January.

“I’m excited to chair this new subcommittee designed to work hand in hand with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team,” Greene said. “We will identify and investigate the waste, corruption, and absolutely useless parts of our federal government.”

The bloated federal government is in the GOP’s crosshairs

Trump called DOGE a potential “Manhattan Project” for reform of the federal government.

Ramaswamy met with Comer and Greene about the creation of the new DOGE Subcommittee.

“A key step to driving greater efficiency in government is exposing the problem to the public—we are grateful that the House Oversight Committee has created a subcommittee to focus on this work,” a spokesman for Ramaswamy told Fox News Digital. “We look forward to working together.”

DOGE and Greene are already working together in preparation to hit the ground running next year.

Comer said that Trump’s “landslide victory reflects a clear mandate to address inflationary spending that’s driving up the cost of living for hardworking Americans.”

“Wasteful government spending must end, and taxpayers deserve to see their money used effectively and efficiently,” Comer stated. “[DOGE] will align with the Trump administration’s priorities to eliminate government waste, streamline the federal government’s operations, and cut red tape that’s stifling jobs and increasing costs for the American people.”

Greene vowed that everything was on the table as DOGE searched for cuts to make in the federal government.

“No topic will be off the table,” Greene said. “The goal of DOGE is to bring accountability and GUT useless government agencies.”

She added that DOGE’s work would lead to incompetent federal employees being fired.

“The bureaucrats who don’t do their job, fail audits like in the Pentagon, and don’t know where billions of dollars are going, will be getting a pink slip,” Greene explained. “Chairman Comer and I are focused on delivering the mandate voters sent on November 5th, and I can’t wait to get to work.”

DOGE could finally deliver on the long-held conservative goal of reducing the size and scope of the federal government.
