Leonardo DiCaprio flew 8,000 miles on a private jet to accept a green energy award in 2016.
Now he's lecturing Hollywood about saving the planet.
But photos just went viral showing the Dolby Theatre looking like a gas station bathroom after the same celebrities who spent the night preaching climate doom left their trash behind for someone else to clean up.
What Millions of People Just Saw
The image hit social media Monday and hasn't stopped circulating.
Rows of seats buried in discarded water bottles, snack wrappers, food debris, and abandoned programs.
Nearly 4 million people viewed it with the caption "Clean up on aisle ALL."
"Aren't some of them environmentalists?" one commenter fired back. "Where's all that 'protect the planet' energy now?"
Another was blunter: "Save the mountains, keep them clean, blah blah blah… but look at the mess they leave."

Jane Fonda, Javier Bardem, and Leonardo DiCaprio all used Sunday night to lecture the room about the planet – then walked out and left their bottles on the floor for someone else to deal with.
The theater employees who weren't on the stage collecting trophies stayed behind to handle what the A-list left behind.
"The Elites make the mess and the lower class clears it after them," one X user put it simply.
The Academy's Excuse Doesn't Help
The Academy's response made things worse.
A spokesperson told reporters that guests had been asked to leave their snack boxes behind and that the mess was "not an issue for sustainability."
They also noted that an announcement – one that was never aired publicly – asked guests to leave boxes at their seats.
So the plan was always for working-class theater staff to clean up after celebrities who just gave speeches about protecting the planet.

That's not a defense.
That's a confession.
This Is Who These People Are
This isn't new behavior.
It's a pattern.
DiCaprio took six private jet roundtrips between Los Angeles and New York in a single six-week stretch in 2014.
That same year he flew private to the World Economic Forum in Davos to discuss climate change.
In 2016, DiCaprio flew from Cannes to New York on a private jet to accept a clean-water advocacy award, then immediately flew back to Europe for a charity fundraiser.
A source close to him explained that attending both events required private air travel.
That was the explanation.
He needed to go to the parties.
During California's drought years, stars including Kim Kardashian and Dwyane Wade exceeded their water allotments by hundreds of thousands of gallons while regular residents were told to let their lawns go brown.
When the LA wildfires hit in 2025, multiple celebrities hired private firefighting crews to protect their estates – a luxury that wasn't available to the neighbors whose homes burned down.
Rules for thee.
Sunday was just more of the same – in HD and with better lighting.
They Lost 2 Million Viewers and Still Haven't Noticed
Fewer Americans are watching.
The 2026 Oscars drew 17.9 million viewers – down 9 percent from last year and the lowest audience since 2022.
Just ten years ago, nearly 34.5 million people tuned in.
Hollywood lost two million viewers in a single year and responded by having Leonardo DiCaprio lecture the remaining audience about climate change – before leaving plastic bottles on the floor.
The trash in the photos wasn't an accident. It's a self-portrait.
