Nostalgia just became edible in the most delicious way possible.

One iconic American brand teamed up with another legendary franchise for the first time ever.

And Krispy Kreme made one surprise announcement that left Charlie Brown fans racing to stores.

Krispy Kreme pulls off first-ever partnership with Peanuts

The folks at Krispy Kreme know a thing or two about holiday traditions.

For 88 years, the doughnut chain has been bringing sweetness to Americans through good times and bad.

Now they're partnering with another American institution that's been around just as long.

Krispy Kreme announced its first-ever collaboration with Charles M. Schulz's beloved Peanuts gang.

The Krispy Kreme x Peanuts Collection hits stores on Saturday, November 29, and will be available through Christmas Eve.

Three brand-new doughnuts inspired by Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the whole Peanuts crew headline the limited-time collection.

"Just like Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, our new holiday collection will bring joy, sweetness and a little extra happiness to all," Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme's Chief Brand and Product Officer, said.¹

What makes this partnership surprising is how long it took to happen.

Krispy Kreme has collaborated with everyone from Harry Potter to DC Comics to the Grinch.

But somehow the doughnut giant and Peanuts never connected until now.

Snoopy takes center stage in custom doughnut collection

The star attraction is a literal Snoopy doughnut shaped like everyone's favorite beagle.

Inside you'll find Cookies & Kreme filling, while the outside gets vanilla icing and Snoopy's trademark face.

Charlie Brown gets his own tribute through a doughnut that screams his identity without literally being shaped like him.

The yellow icing and chocolate zig-zag instantly bring to mind that shirt Charlie Brown wore in every comic strip, and brownie batter filling adds the indulgence factor.

Even the ornament hook on top fits the Christmas theme.

Round out the new lineup with a wreath-style doughnut where green buttercream and yellow sprinkles turn an Original Glazed into holiday décor, complete with Snoopy and Woodstock perched on top.

Krispy Kreme didn't abandon what already works.

The Santa Belly returns with its White Kreme center and chocolate belt decoration that makes it look like jolly old Saint Nick's midsection.

The Holiday Sprinkle comes back too, proving sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel when chocolate icing and festive sprinkles get the job done.

All five doughnuts come packaged in a custom dozen box featuring Peanuts artwork that's worth saving long after the doughnuts disappear.

75th anniversary timing drives partnership decision

Scott Shillet, Vice President of Global Licensing for Peanuts, explained why 2025 was the perfect time for this collaboration.

"Peanuts has brought joy to fans during the holiday season for decades," Shillet stated. "As we celebrate Peanuts' 75th anniversary this year, we look to collaborate with partners like Krispy Kreme to continue that tradition for fans of all ages."²

The Peanuts comic strip first appeared in just seven newspapers on October 2, 1950.

Charles M. Schulz created characters that would become woven into American culture for three-quarters of a century.

Holiday specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown became as much a part of the season as Santa Claus himself.

Krispy Kreme clearly understands the multigenerational appeal of Peanuts.

Grandparents who grew up reading the Sunday comics can share these doughnuts with grandchildren who watch Peanuts on Apple TV+.

That's the kind of marketing gold that money can't buy.

The collection will be available at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide as well as for pickup or delivery through the company's app and website.

Six-count varieties will also hit select Walmart, Kroger, Publix, and Stater Brothers locations for customers who can't make it to a Krispy Kreme shop.

As an added bonus, Krispy Kreme is bringing back its annual 12/12 "Day of the Dozens" promotion on December 12.

Customers can snag a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $1 with the purchase of any dozen at regular price.

Charlie Brown would probably find a way to mess up ordering these doughnuts somehow.

But the rest of us can race to stores starting November 29 to grab this piece of nostalgia before they disappear on Christmas Eve.
