Klaus Schwab is the founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
He recently addressed the attendees at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
And Klaus Schwab said four terrifying words about Artificial Intelligence that every American needs to hear.
Most Americans know of Klaus Schwab through his work at the WEF, where he coined the phrase “The Great Reset” and predicted a future where “you will own nothing, and you will be happy.”
But Schwab is also considered one of the world’s leading economists.
In 2016, he wrote a book called Fourth Industrial Revolution about how the future economy is “a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres.”
At the World Government Summit in Dubai, Klaus expanded his theory on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Klaus discussed how Artificial Intelligence, the so-called Metaverse, near-space technologies, and synthetic biology will be the key levers of control for the world in the near future.
If governments don’t take control of these technologies, Schwab said he has “deep concerns” that they “will escape our power to master [them].”
“You cannot catch up with the new technologies, you have to be a frontrunner because otherwise you will be on the losing side,” he said. “What is absolutely essential is this cooperation of the different stakeholders of global society: government brings direct power, business brings the innovative power, civil society brings the concerned power, academia brings the power of truth, and maybe I should add media, which brings the critical dimension in this dialogue.”
“We need all those stakeholders to shape together the future,” he added.
But Schwab said four terrifying words about governments gaining control over these powerful technologies.
“Our life in 10 years from now will be completely different, very much affected,” Schwab said, before adding that “whoever masters these technologies, in some way, will be the masters of the world.”
After the past two years, the thought of corrupt government bureaucrats becoming the “masters of the world” is a terrifying thought.
The government already abuses technology to try and track, trace, and monitor people’s every move.
And based on Schwab’s prediction, it’s only going to get worse as technology grows more powerful.
