Hunter Biden is the nexus in multiple scandals that contain legal and political jeopardy for Joe Biden.
Other than Joe Biden’s age, the allegations of corruption swirling around the Biden family are the biggest political vulnerability facing the left in 2024.
And Karine Jean-Pierre fielded this question about Hunter Biden that terrifies Democrats.
Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy confronted Karine Jean-Pierre about former Hunter Biden business associate Devon Archer testifying that Hunter Biden was “selling the brand” when he would put Joe Biden on speaker phone 20 times during business meetings.
“We know from a Hunter Biden associate now that he sold the appearance of access to then-Vice President Biden. Are you confident that he had stopped doing that?” Doocy asked Jean-Pierre.
“That is a question for Hunter Biden’s representatives,” Jean-Pierre answered.
Doocy was not about to let her off the hook that easily.
“If somebody is selling the appearance of access to the White House, that is a question for the White House,” Doocy followed up.
“What is the Biden brand?” Doocy asked.
Jean-Pierre ducked the question a second time.
“I’m not going to get into it from here. I’m not going to get into it from here. We’re gonna move on,” Jean-Pierre answered.
Doocy then brought up the fact that Hunter Biden sold paintings for hundreds of thousands as another potential source of corruption.
“How can he guarantee that people aren’t buying his art to gain favor with the President?” Doocy asked.
“That is a question for Hunter Biden and his representatives,” Jean-Pierre responded.
“It’s a question of ethics at the White House. We know one of the art buyers got a job from the Biden administration. Can you guarantee there’s no quid pro quo?” Doocy shot back.
Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali was one of the Democrat donors who bought one of Hunter Biden’s paintings.
Joe Biden also named Naftali to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
Once again, Jean-Pierre refused to answer a simple question.
“I hear you. I hear your question. I’m just not going to get involved in this. That is a question for Hunter Biden’s representatives,” Jean-Pierre stated.
The problem for Joe Biden is that evidence keeps emerging showing Joe Biden’s connections to Hunter Biden’s business deals.
And since the Biden family business looks like it centers around selling access to Joe Biden, the questions about Hunter Biden deals are inextricably linked to Joe Biden’s ethics.
