Kamala Harris will never live down these behind-the-scenes revelations

Joe Biden and the Democrats have a serious case of buyer’s remorse about putting Kamala Harris on the ticket.

The frustration with Kamala Harris spilled out in a blockbuster new book.

And Kamala Harris will never live down these behind-the-scenes revelations.

Franklin Foer’s book about the first two years of the Biden administration, which is entitled The Last Politician, includes a highly unflattering portrayal of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Foer describes Harris as a thin-skinned and untrusting incompetent.

In the book, Foer reports that Harris had “rabbit ears” that instantly perked up at any hint of criticism.

“Harris possessed what one of her colleagues described as ‘rabbit ears,’” Foer reported.

“Whenever there was a hint of criticism of her — either in the West Wing or in the press — she seemed instantly aware of it.”

Harris’ instincts to lash out at critics only reinforced her worst tendencies.

“Rather than brushing it aside, she wanted to know who was speaking ill of her and what they were saying,” Foer added that Harris “read a devastating story” in the press “about her mismanagement of her team,” to which Harris “responded by briefly freezing out an aide whom she suspected of cooperating with reporters.”

This anecdote likely refers to a June 2021 report in POLITICO about the toxic work environment Harris fostered.

By freezing out the aide suspected of leaking to the press, Harris buttressed the image of her as a cruel and vengeful boss.

Joe Biden also made Harris his border czar.

But Foer wrote that Harris’ failure to contain the border crisis turned into a self-fulfilling prophecy as Harris bought into the conventional wisdom that Biden handed her a doomed-to-fail post so she put no effort into solving the problem which led to even greater numbers of illegal aliens pouring into the country.

“She let the criticism guide her,” Foer continued. “Instead of diligently sticking to the Central America assignment, she seemed to accept the conventional wisdom about it. It was a futile gig, so she let it fall to the side, missing an opportunity to grind her way to a meaningful achievement.”

Harris’ portfolio became an issue when White House chief of staff Ron Klain made it his mission to coach up Harris so she could step in for the 2024 or 2028 elections.

But Harris proved impossible to work with as she told Klain she refused to work on identity politics issues, but wanted hiring decisions in her office made based on identity politics.

“She told him that she didn’t want to work on women’s issues or anything to do with race,” Foer revealed. “She wanted her office to be majority female — and to have a Black woman as chief of staff.”

Polls show Kamala Harris is the most unpopular Vice President in American history.

But based on the leaks in this book, Harris may be even more unpopular with the people she works with than the public at large.
