Kamala Harris is a nonstop political dumpster fire.
Democrats wish they could find a way to dump her.
And those concerns only grew because Kamala Harris said one word about Donald Trump that every Democrat will live to regret.
The Biden administration is set to end Title 42 – the Trump border policy that allowed the government to expedite returning illegal aliens to their home countries after they were caught entering the country – on May 11.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens have been waiting for this moment for months.
Tens of thousands already massed on the Mexican side of the border waiting for Title 42 to end knowing the Biden administration will release them into the country after they were apprehended.
With Joe Biden’s poll numbers sagging and the election coming up next year Biden needs to pretend like he cares about this self-inflicted crisis.
That’s why the Biden administration is sending 1,500 troops to the border.
But the troops will not actively engage in border security.
Instead, their job is to essentially act as babysitters for illegal aliens while the administration waits to set them free into the interior of the nation.
A Biden official told CNN that “at the request of DHS [Department of Homeland Security], DOD [Department of Defense] will provide a temporary increase of an additional 1,500 military personnel, for 90 days, to supplement CBP [Customs and Border Protection] efforts at the border. These 1,500 military personnel will fill critical capability gaps, such as ground-based detection and monitoring, data entry, and warehouse support, until CBP can address these needs through contracted support.”
Troops at the border are a political embarrassment for Democrats who compared Donald Trump issuing such an order to 1930s Germany.
At the time, when Trump ordered the military to help enforce American sovereignty then California Senator Kamala Harris slammed the decision as “inappropriate.”
“I also believe that the administration made a decision to deploy them based on a political agenda and I believe that it is inappropriate to require the limited resources of the United States military to be used in such a way when it was, you know, these folks who are being deployed there, they’re gonna leave, they’ve left their families, they will not be home, it looks like, for Thanksgiving. And all because there needed to be some demonstration for the TV cameras based on a political agenda instead of what is a national security threat,” Harris declared.
Joe Biden is keeping Kamala Harris on the ticket and Harris is also the administration’s border czar.
In the campaign not only will Harris have to defend her failed record on the border, but Biden will also have to explain why he handed a notorious incompetent such a vital job.
