Kamala Harris can’t afford any missteps.

There are fewer than 90 days to go before the General Election.

And Kamala Harris broke out in a sweat over this bad deal that threatened her campaign.

Secretary of Defense revokes plea deal for 9/11 mastermind

Americans were outraged when the Biden administration announced it reached plea deals with three 9/11 terrorists, including mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, that would take the death penalty off the table.

The Biden administration wouldn’t even give plea deals to January 6 protestors and instead forced them to stand for show trials in the Democrat-dominated D.C. Courts.

These plea deals also complicated Kamala Harris’ scheme to run on her record as a prosecutor, as she would now have to answer questions about whether or not, as a prosecutor, she would have approved a plea deal for the mastermind of the terrorist attack that killed 3,000 Americans if it didn’t include the death penalty.

It also opened up another avenue for Donald Trump to lambaste Harris as serving as the number two in an administration that turned Afghanistan back over to the Taliban and went soft on the 9/11 terrorists.

That’s why Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin jumped in to do Kamala Harris a solid.

Since Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was an enemy combatant held in Guantanamo Bay, the authority over their legal proceedings fell to the Defense Department.

And Austin announced he was rescinding the plea deals, which put the death penalty back on the table.

“I have determined that, in light of the significance of the decision to enter into pre-trial agreements with the accused in the above-referenced case, responsibility for such a decision should rest with me as the superior convening authority under the Military Commissions Act of 2009,” Austin’s memo read.

“Effective immediately, I hereby withdraw your authority in the above-referenced case to enter into a pre-trial agreement and reserve such authority to myself. Effective immediately, in the exercise of my authority, I hereby withdraw from the three pre-trial agreements that you signed on July 31, 2024 in the above-referenced case,” the memo added.

9/11 families celebrate the decision

While politics were the driving force behind Austin’s decision, the families of the 9/11 victims applauded the move.

Terry Strada gave birth to her third child right after her husband died in the terrorist attacks.

Strada said it was a relief to her the 9/11 plotters would face the ultimate justice.

“For me and a lot of the families, this is a very welcomed change in their position. The biggest fear that I had, and a lot of family members had, was what could happen with these three individuals without a death penalty,” Strada said in an interview with the Daily Caller.

“Wherever they would be held for a life sentence, any administration going forward could possibly use them in a prisoner trade deal. The death penalty is the right thing for them to face because of the crime that they committed. So, I’m very happy to hear that the Pentagon has stepped in and is doing the right thing,” Strada added.

But Austin wasn’t motivated by the feelings of the 9/11 victim’s families.

Austin was motivated by the fact that the Biden administration will do everything in its power to help Kamala Harris win the election.
