Now, freed from corporate oversight and speaking to a friendly audience, she finally said the quiet part out loud.
Joy Reid admitted that she would split America in two tomorrow if she could – and send conservatives somewhere they can have their “circle je*k of hate.”
What She Actually Said
Reid appeared on Wajahat Ali’s The Left Hook podcast to discuss ICE deportations and immigration enforcement.
The conversation turned to how she views her fellow Americans on the right.
“I have to be honest, I struggle with being countrymen with these people,” Reid told Ali.
She called conservatives “full of rage, hate, cruelty.”

She used Laura Loomer – not a senator, not a policy architect, not an elected official – as the standard-bearer for every single person who voted for Donald Trump.
“They’re all like her,” she said.
Then came the dream she’d apparently been saving up.
Reid said that if someone told her tomorrow there was a “magical way to split the country in two, like they did with the Sudans,” she’d take that deal.
Conservatives would go to “America B” – her words – where they could “be cruel to each other and have a circle jerk of hate.”
The Mask Came Off Because Nobody Was Watching
Reid spent five years on MSNBC collecting awards for journalism while delivering something closer to political activism.

Not misguided neighbors.
Not people with legitimate concerns about the border or the economy.
Violent, hateful subhumans who deserve to be shipped to their own country.

The same Joy Reid who spent years insisting Trump supporters were the real threat to democracy just said she’d permanently separate America to get away from them.
This Is What the Left Calls Journalism
Reid didn’t build this platform from nothing.
MSNBC handed her a prime-time show for five years, and when the ratings finally collapsed, she took that credibility – the Harvard degree, the TV credits, the award – and moved it to a podcast where nobody was going to tell her to watch her words.
What’s left is a former cable news anchor telling her audience that half of America is so despicable she’d rather they live in a separate country.
That’s not commentary.
That’s contempt – and it was always there, just dressed up in network graphics and a prime-time slot.

The View co-hosts have compared Republican voters to Nazis so many times the comparison stopped making headlines.
MSNBC built an entire prime-time lineup around the premise that the people watching Fox News were domestic terrorists in waiting.
Joy Reid didn’t say something shocking on Wednesday.
She said something honest – and the only reason it’s news is that she finally dropped the professional language that normally disguises it.
Every anchor who framed January 6 as proof that Trump’s voters were a threat to the republic meant the same thing Reid said out loud.
Every panel that spent four years warning about the threat to democracy meant the same thing.
They just had producers and media trainers standing between them and a hot mic.
Reid has a podcast now – no filter, no guardrails, no one telling her to dial it back.
Your instinct that these people hate you was never paranoia.
Joy Reid just confirmed it on tape – and she’s not the only one who feels that way.
