The wide open southern border during the Biden-Harris administration has fueled an explosion in human trafficking.
More than 500,000 unaccompanied alien children (UAC) have arrived at the southern border since the border crisis began in 2021.
The Biden-Harris administration won’t deport UACs so their numbers have surged in recent years.
These UACs are turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) for temporary care until they’re placed with a sponsor in the United States.
Sponsors are usually family members but the vetting has been nonexistent according to whistleblowers.
Deborah White – a federal employee working with HHS and ORR to help UACs – told Senators during a roundtable that the federal government was complicit in human trafficking.
“What I discovered was horrifying: children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors and process children safely, with government officials complicit in it,” White said.
“Children were sent to addresses that were abandoned houses or nonexistent in some cases,” White continued. “In Michigan, a child was sent to an open field, even after we reported making a 911 call after hearing someone screaming for help, yet the child was still sent.”
HHS whistleblower Tara Rodas revealed that UACs were being sent to human traffickers because of nonexistent vetting.
“The smugglers give them the name and address to where they’re going, the children turn that into Border Patrol, Border Patrol turns it over to us at HHS and then we send the child to that person,” Rodas explained. “It’s really end-to-end delivery.”
A Department of Homeland Security Inspector General’s report found that HHS and ORR have lost all contact with almost 80,000 UACs who were under their care.
John Kennedy demands accountability for missing illegal alien children
U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) and more than 42 members of Congress sent a letter to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris slamming them for allowing HHS to turn kids over to human traffickers.
“As a result of your open-borders policies, overseen by Vice President Harris, who was tasked with ‘stemming the migration’ at our border with Mexico, more than 500,000 unaccompanied alien children (UACs) have crossed the southwest border without a parent or guardian to provide care since you took office, a massive increase when compared to previous administrations,” the letter states.
The letter demanded that law enforcement get involved with investigating human trafficking and child exploitation by the HHS program.
“[The Biden-Harris HHS] must stop its cover-up and cooperate with law enforcement and Congress to end this crisis and protect unaccompanied children and the American people,” the letter added.
And the lawmakers demanded that background checks be done on the sponsors by HHS.
Kamala was tasked with “stemming the migration” at the southern border as the “Border Czar.”
Her failure to do her job created an unimaginable tragedy on both sides of the border.
