His Fox News one-liners went viral so many times that a single clip compiling them pulled 7 million views.
Now the Louisiana senator with the sharpest mouth in Washington, DC is eyeing the White House, and Democrats have no idea what to do about it.
The Senator Who Named His Elliptical Margaret Thatcher
Kennedy has 4.8 million TikTok likes and 1.3 million Instagram followers – numbers that dwarf every Republican senator on either platform.
His only GOP competition on TikTok is Ted Cruz, who has scraped together fewer than 24,000 followers.
Kennedy's content defies every piece of advice political consultants have given Republicans for decades.
He filmed himself touring his backyard and warned viewers not to step in dog poo.
He named his elliptical Margaret, after Margaret Thatcher, and made that the video.

He shared his wife Becky's chicken salad recipe from his kitchen island – that one earned 3 million views and 478,000 likes.
He has said things on cable news that would have ended most political careers: "I'm not saying you're the dumbest person in the world, but you better hope the dumbest person in the world doesn't die."
Told Fox's Martha MacCallum about his patience: "God, please give me patience because if you give me strength, I'm going to need bail money."
On foreign aid: "I don't know why we have to give money to countries that hate us – they should be able to hate us for free."
Every one of these lines went viral.
What Democrats Cannot Replicate
Kennedy was a Democrat for most of his life – five-term state treasurer of Louisiana before switching parties in 2007.
He knows exactly what the left sounds like, and he knows exactly why it fails.
Democrats have spent years telling conservatives that young voters are gone – permanently captured by progressive culture, woke campus politics, and social media influencers.
They were wrong.
Trump proved it in 2024 when he went on Joe Rogan and talked like a human being instead of a campaign ad, and young men voted for him anyway.
Kennedy is doing the same thing, one chicken salad recipe at a time.

No teleprompter.
No messaging strategy.
A dog named Charlie – previously owned by a homeless person – who has been known to walk a few steps on his hind legs when the mood strikes him.
The Left cannot manufacture what Kennedy has because it requires actually believing what you say.
Why This Matters Beyond Louisiana
Kennedy's book – How to Test Negative for Stupid: And Why Washington Never Will – hit number one on the New York Times bestseller list.
He appeared on comedian Theo Von's podcast and, asked whether he's related to the famous Democrat Kennedy family, said: "If I am, I'm the poor side of the family."
Donors have now approached him about a 2028 presidential run.
Speaking at New Hampshire's St. Anselm College – the traditional proving ground for presidential hopefuls – Kennedy didn't shut the door.
He told NewsNation's Katie Pavlich: "I've had some people talk to me about it. Why not me? That's kind of how I look at it."

LSU political scientist Robert Hogan told WWL Radio that Kennedy has shown throughout his career a willingness to read the moment and move with it – and in an open 2028 race, that makes him dangerous.
Political analyst Ron Faucheux put it plainly: Kennedy has "a way of expressing his views that sounds nonpolitical and very blunt and very funny to a lot of people."
That is exactly what Trump had in 2015 when the political class thought he was a joke.
That is not a man who thinks he's a long shot.
Democrats have no answer for authenticity.
They never did.
