Joe Scarborough has one of the worst cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome at MSNBC.
But even he can have a moment of clarity after getting humiliated on Election Day.
And Joe Scarborough had one confession about Donald Trump that was bad news for Democrats.
Joe Scarborough finally speaks the truth about Donald Trump
MSNBC’s Morning Joe is where Democrats wake up and start their day with a daily dose of ranting about former President Donald Trump.
The show is a favorite of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Host Joe Scarborough and the crew on Morning Joe became increasingly unhinged over the course of the election about Trump.
Kamala lost every swing state and nearly lost blue states like New Jersey on election night.
Morning Joe was in a somber mood after the election, which led to some rare moments of honesty from Scarborough.
“I’ve got to say, this is the biggest red wave I’ve seen since Ronald Reagan’s 49 state victory in 1984,” Scarborough said. “It seems every Republican across the country improved.”
Kamala didn’t do better than Biden in a single county in the country this election.
A stunned Scarborough had to break the bad news to his MSNBC audience.
“America, first of all, is far more to the Right than any time in our lifetimes,” Scarborough stated. “Even going back to the Reagan years. And Donald Trump won in dominating fashion. But he did that along with other Republican candidates in the Senate races and the House races. They’re likely to dominate all branches of government for the next several years.”
“The scope and scale of this victory is sweeping,” Scarborough said with a pained look on his face. “This is a Democratic Party that has been just wiped out this morning.”
Donald Trump knows America better than Democrats
Democrats have become the party of the coastal elites and are increasingly out of touch with most of the country.
Kamala’s message failed to land in the Rust Belt where she lost all three swing states there.
Former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) admitted on Morning Joe that Democrats had lost touch with the country.
And that Trump had a better read on the pulse of the country.
“I think we have to acknowledge that Donald Trump knows our country better than we do,” McCaskill said.
Scarborough said that Democrats needed to take a long hard look in the mirror after getting routed in the election.
“At some point, Democrats are going to have to confront some realities that they haven’t wanted to confront in the past, they didn’t want to confront past issues on the border, it took them too long to confront that,” Scarborough said. “We talked about the transgender inmate ad that ran 30,000 times that the Democrats refused to respond to.”
He admitted that bashing Trump was proven to be a failed strategy to win elections.
“It’s time for the Democrats to take a good, long, hard look at how this happened and if they just say Trump bad, Democrats virtuous, they’re gonna keep losing, cause this, again this is so widespread,” Scarborough explained. “This is not about just Donald Trump, this is about the Democratic Party and being radically disconnected from the rest of the country. Look at the map.”
Democrats will be searching for answers after the party suffered a crushing defeat to Donald Trump.
