Children across America look forward to dressing up in costumes and going trick-or-treating each year on Halloween.

A bag full of candy is a rare treat for most children.

But Joe Biden made Halloween all tricks and no treats for many American families.

The problems are piling up for Americans under Joe Biden’s watch.

Biden’s open borders agenda unleashed the worst border crisis in history, with millions of illegal aliens entering the country since January of 2021.

Crime is surging in major cities all across America thanks to Democrat prosecutors implementing pro-crime policies like cashless bail that place criminals right back on the streets.

Joe Biden’s bungling of foreign policy has Americans worried about the possibility of World War III breaking out at any moment.

But the biggest tradition on Halloween highlighted one of the largest problems facing Joe Biden’s re-election efforts in that of rising prices caused by his trillions of dollars in socialist spending.

According to a report by ABC News, Americans faced double-digit Halloween candy inflation for the second year in a row.

“For the second year in a row, U.S. shoppers are seeing double-digit inflation in the candy aisle,” ABC reported. “Candy and gum prices are up an average of 13% this month compared to last October, more than double the 6% increase in all grocery prices, according to Datasembly, a retail price tracker,” ABC continued. “That’s on top of a 14% increase in candy and gum prices in October 2022.”

Jessica Weathers is a small business owner in Shiloh, Illinois.

She told ABC that “the price of candy has gotten to be outrageous,” before adding that “it doesn’t make sense to me to spend $100 on candy.”

“Weathers said she usually buys plenty of candy for trick-or-treaters and events at school and church,” ABC reported. “But this year, she only bought two bags and plans to turn off her porch light on Halloween when she runs out.”

Weathers is not alone.

According to the market research firm Numerator, at least one-third of American consumers planned to trade down to value or store brands this year when buying candy for trick-or-treaters.

Joe Biden is facing a whirlwind of problems in his quest for a second term in the White House.

And the economy and inflation will be one of the top issues for voters in the 2024 election.
