Joe Biden has done such a poor job as President that he’s desperate to turn around his upside-down approval numbers ahead of the Midterms.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the leaked SCOTUS draft ruling on Roe, tragic shootings – President Biden has tried to use each to his advantage.
But a new poll shows Biden’s strategy is not working.
The minute after the deadly shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, President Joe Biden latched on to the tragedy and politicized it in an attempt to rally his base and take away Americans’ Constitutional right to bear arms.
And he’s been pushing the issue non-stop ever since – including in a primetime address on all the major networks and cable news stations.
Biden’s solution to school shootings – ban “assault weapons,” upping the age to purchase a gun to 21, outlaw bullet proof vests and bar “high capacity” magazines.
But what the President doesn’t want to do is “harden schools.”

Hardening schools – while a questionable marketing name – is the GOP solution to mitigating the damages and chances of school shootings.
It includes stationing armed guards at schools, allowing teachers who are trained to carry in the classroom if they want, and smaller things as well, like making sure doors are shut and locked.
But Biden says no to hardening schools.
“I know there’s been conversation about hardening schools; that is not something that he believes in,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a press conference. “He believes that we should be able to give teachers the resources to be able to do the job that they’re meant to do at schools.”
Why won’t President Biden “DO SOMETHING” that would actually prevent school shootings?
His stance on hardening schools, once again, flew in the face of what Americans want.
A new poll finds Americans support GOP ideas of allowing armed teachers and funding armed security guards in schools.
The new survey from The Economist/YouGov – a typically left-leaning outfit – 51% of voters agree teachers and school administrators should be able to carry in school, compared to only 37% who oppose the idea, like President Biden does.
There is even stronger support for armed guards in schools.
In 2018, The Economist/YouGov ran a poll asking about armed guards in schools.
According to the survey, 59% favored the proposal, while a mere 28% opposed it.
In fact, even Democrats supported armed guards in schools by a margin of 45% to 40%.
WOW. Media scoffs at Trump idea of having trained teachers armed. But new Economist/YouGov poll shows broad public support.

There are 20 states currently that allow teachers to be armed in the classroom.
According to the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), there hasn’t been a single person killed in a school that allows some specific teachers to carry a gun in class.
Furthermore, criminals don’t seem to be paying attention to the “gun-free zone,” signs outside of schools.
However, not knowing if a teacher is armed in one of the classrooms does appear to be a deterrent.
The fact is, one school district in Uvalde, Utopia Independent School District, allows some teachers to carry a firearm in the classroom.
Robb Elementary School is not in that district.
