Jill Biden stood on a stage the night of the most disastrous debate in modern political history and told America her husband did a great job.
Now she wants you to believe she was terrified the whole time.
Her own former spokesman just went on television and explained exactly what she's doing – and it isn't pretty.
The Story She Told That Night
The date was June 27, 2024.
Every American with a television watched Joe Biden freeze, mumble, and lose his train of thought in real time against Donald Trump.
The moment the debate ended, Jill walked onstage and delivered her verdict to the crowd.
"Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question. You knew all the facts."

She said those words out loud, within minutes of the performance.
Now – nearly two years later, with a memoir to sell – she has a different version.
"I don't know what happened," she told CBS Sunday Morning. "As I watched it, I thought, 'Oh my God, he's having a stroke.' And it scared me to death."
Her Own Spokesman Isn't Buying It
Michael LaRosa was Jill Biden's press secretary.
He worked for her. He knows how she operates.
And he went on Fox News and said what millions of Americans were already thinking.
"They're trying to change the tape in people's minds about who she is," LaRosa said. "That's why she's sort of changing her tune a little bit about her reaction in real time."
He said Jill was "the face and the voice of the initial reaction for the country" – and that if she had shown the alarm she's now claiming, "it would have been a more human response."
The woman who was allegedly terrified her husband was having a stroke walked out and told the world he aced it.
LaRosa didn't excuse it. He named it.
Now Jill is adding another layer.
In a new NBC interview Monday, the same day her memoir View from the East Wing dropped, she explained that she "had to support" Joe publicly even though she privately knew something was wrong.

"I had to sort of lift him up. I'm his wife," she told NBC. "I'm not going to get out on the stage there and say, 'Joe, you really screwed that up.'"
That would be a reasonable explanation – if she had stopped at one night of wifely support.
She didn't.
She spent the following weeks telling Democrats, donors, and the entire country that Joe was sharp, capable, and ready for four more years.
This Was Never About One Bad Night
The Axios reporter who co-wrote Original Sin made the situation even worse for Jill.
Alex Thompson said Biden's aides confirmed the debate wasn't an outlier.
"Biden aides told Jake Tapper and me that they had seen him act that way before and after," Thompson said. "Those moments became more difficult to predict and conceal."
More difficult to predict and conceal.
That's the Rosetta Stone of the entire Biden cover-up.
This wasn't one bad night blamed on a cold – which is what the White House pushed at the time.
This was a pattern the people closest to him had been managing and hiding for months, getting harder to hide by the day.

She was the central figure in the operation to keep Joe Biden in power past his expiration date – and she was effective at it right up until the debate made the job impossible.
She Wrote a Book to Set the Record Straight
Jill Biden announced her memoir with a promise to "set the record straight."
The record it actually sets straight is this: the people running the country knew the president was not functioning – and they chose the cover story every single time.
In her NBC interview, she confirmed Joe told her backstage that night, "Jill, I really" – and here she softened his words – "in other words, messed up, didn't I?"
She said yes. Then walked out and told America the opposite.
She is selling that story now as loyalty.
That's not loyalty.
That's the most powerful unelected person in the country choosing her family's legacy over the truth seventy million voters needed to make an informed decision.
She watched Joe Biden fail in real time, confirmed it to his face backstage, and then walked out and lied to America.
Now she has a book deal and wants credit for being scared.
The audacity of that should make your blood boil.
