Don Lemon gives Jen Psaki some surprising information about black voters
Vice President Kamala Harris flipped the momentum in the Presidential race after she replaced President Joe Biden.
She surged in the polls on the strength of media-manufactured propaganda and hype that stopped just short of outright deifying her.
Her campaign couldn’t have scripted a better start to the race.
But there are warning signs for Kamala that Democrats and their media allies are ignoring.
Former CNN host Don Lemon has been doing man-on-the-street segments for his failing YouTube show.
He’s traveled to various states to speak with voters about the Presidential election and was surprised by the answers he received.
A lot of the voters he interviewed told him they were voting for former President Donald Trump.
Lemon was shocked in these segments at the number of black voters who told him they supported Trump.
He told former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about the surprising discovery he made during an appearance on MSNBC’s Inside With Jen Psaki.
The former CNN host said that many black voters didn’t know who Kamala was, and they believe Trump is “on black people’s side.”
“I don’t know if it was surprising but it was certainly eye-opening to hear so many people, even people of color and women, saying they are going to support Donald Trump,” Lemon said. “I am not quite sure that the polls are accurate as it relates to the tightening of the polls and who will support whom.”
A surprising reason black voters are sticking with Trump
Lemon said that black voters pointed to the stimulus check they received during the pandemic as a reason they liked Trump.
“But there were a lot of black men, Jen, who said they were supporting Donald Trump simply because he gave them a stimulus check,” Lemon explained. “He gave them $1200 back when he was President. They did not somehow remember that the current President also gave them a stimulus check, except his name wasn’t on it.”
He thought this was an example of good marketing and branding by Trump.
“So, when they got the check, and his name was on it, they automatically thought it came directly from Donald Trump which I think is good marketing,” Lemon stated. “Which is the same as he does for buildings around the country, especially in New York.”
Psaki wondered what voters he spoke to thought of Kamala.
“They were not familiar with her,” Lemon said. “So I think she has to reintroduce herself to the public. But for him, I think they thought he is better for the economy. Again, that he brought money into the community or that he was on black people’s side.”
Lemon lamented that black voters told him that Trump was better for the economy.
The contrast voters can see between the Trump economy and the Biden-Harris economy could help put Trump back in the White House.
