Joe Biden’s poll numbers continue to plummet.
His continued mismanagement of the economy, foreign policy, and now his own family secrets only contribute to the public’s distrust of him as President.
And now Jen Psaki is dodging questions about Hunter Biden’s latest scandal.
Jen Psaki and Joe Biden rarely appear to be on the same page, which isn’t a good look for the President and his Press Secretary.
It’s not unusual for Psaki to either totally butcher a Biden statement or not know what her boss thinks on an issue at all.
But one thing Jen Psaki does know is she must keep all talk of Hunter Biden out of the press briefings.
Hunter Biden and his wayward lifestyle continues to be a problem for the President.
Now reporters are asking White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about Hunter Biden’s ownership in a Chinese government-linked investment firm.
Psaki, not wanting to address anything about Hunter, evaded the questions by saying Hunter “has been working to wind that down.”
Joe Biden promised transparency and that his family would not have any foreign business ties, but he doesn’t appear to be following through on that promise.
Last week, the Washington Examiner reported that Chinese business records indicated Hunter Biden still holds a 10% equity stake in Bohai Harvest RST Equity Investment Fund (BHR) located in Shanghai.
BHR has made extensive investments in multiple controversial Chinese companies.
A reporter pressed Psaki on Biden’s pledge from late 2020 that his family would not be involved in “any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict with an appropriate distance from the presidency and government.”
Psaki told reporters that they need to talk to Hunter’s representatives about those matters.
“He doesn’t work in the administration,” Psaki stated.
When the Washington Examiner asked Deputy Press Secretary, Andrew Bates, if Hunter had followed through on his divestment yet, Bates simply stated, “we refer you to Jen’s comments and Hunter Biden’s representatives.”
Once again, the Biden administration is trying to hide things from the American people and refusing to fulfill the promises made before Biden became President.
It’s easy to promise things before you’re President, but clearly not so easy to follow through once you’re in the Oval Office.
