Democrats spent years telling you that open borders are compassionate.
On Thursday, a man walked into the Republican National Convention waving a Mexican flag.
And the Dallas crowd erupted after JD Vance dropped the hammer on a protester waving the Mexican Flag.
Vance Didn't Miss a Beat
The protester emerged from the crowd during Vance's primetime keynote at American Airlines Center, waving a Mexican flag and a Palestinian flag before walking down the arena stairs toward the stage.
The convention's official television feed didn't catch it.
Vance made sure everyone knew what happened anyway.
"What the people at home missed is that we just had a protester interrupting us and waving the Mexican flag," Vance told the thousands of GOP voters in the arena.

Then came the line.
"Well, my friend, if you love Mexico so much, get your a– over there. I'll buy you the plane ticket," he said.
The Dallas Morning News called it arguably the loudest cheer of the night.
The crowd drowned it all out with chants of "USA! USA! USA!" as security escorted the protester out.
What the Left Doesn't Understand About That Moment
The Left will spend today calling Vance's response xenophobic.
They're missing the point entirely.
Nobody is saying Mexico is a bad country.
What Vance was saying – and what that crowd understood immediately – is that you don't walk into a gathering of American patriots, wave a foreign flag in their faces, and expect to be celebrated.
This is America.
It has a flag.
It has an anthem.
It has citizens who fought, bled, and died for it.

Democrats have spent years telling you that demanding allegiance to this country is somehow bigotry.
That Dallas crowd just told you what they think of that argument.
The Bigger Speech That Surrounded It
The protester moment was a flash – but Vance spent nearly 40 minutes delivering something more important.
He opened by honoring Charlie Kirk, his close friend and Turning Point USA founder, assassinated one year ago to the day.
Vance mentioned Kirk's name 13 times.
He spoke directly to Kirk's two young children in the audience.
"History will record that your father was a great man," Vance said.
Then he built the rest of the speech around a single word: birthright.
"I believe the Founders built this nation on a promise that echoes our Creator: That every American child is born an heir, born with a birthright," Vance said. "Born with the right to inherit the blessings of this country. Not because of who their parents are. Not because of what they look like or where they come from. But because they are Americans."
He wove in the recent birth of his fourth child, Alec, making the stakes personal before making them national.
Then he went after Democrats by name – including one Michigan Democrat candidate who said on the record that he could "f the nuclear family."
What This Convention Is Really About
The establishment media has spent months writing the GOP's obituary.
They've got their polling and their narratives and their expert panels.
Vance walked into Dallas with something better.
His calculation is simple: when voters have to choose between a party that fights for the American birthright and a party that cheers when someone waves a foreign flag at the Vice President – they're going to choose the birthright.
That's not a theory.
A protester tested it last night in Dallas – and got a plane ticket offer and ten thousand Americans chanted his answer back at him.
Democrats heard every word.
