Jamie Raskin spent months calling Pam Bondi a failure, a disgrace, and a betrayal of the American people.
He never mentioned she was fighting cancer through all of it.
She didn't either – and that was her choice.
The Battle Nobody Knew About
Bondi, 60, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after stepping down as attorney general in early April.
She had surgery and is still recovering – having kept the entire diagnosis private while Washington debated whether she'd testify before Congress.
Katie Miller – former White House staffer and wife of Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller – broke the news on X Tuesday night.

"Pam has been quietly kicking cancer's ass the last few weeks," Miller wrote, adding that Bondi "has a heart of gold."
Think about what that actually means.
While Raskin was issuing press releases calling her tenure "a profound betrayal of the American people," while Jasmine Crockett was declaring her "one of the worst Attorneys General in American history," Bondi was sitting in a doctor's office getting a cancer diagnosis.
She kept it to herself, had the surgery, and said nothing.
Trump Isn't Done With Pam Bondi
Here's what the mainstream media is burying under the health headline.
Trump just put Bondi on the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology – a serious panel focused on artificial intelligence policy, co-chaired by White House AI czar David Sacks and science adviser Michael Kratsios.
She'll sit alongside Nvidia's Jensen Huang, Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, and Oracle's Larry Ellison.
That's not a consolation prize.
That's a seat at the table where America's AI future gets decided.

JD Vance made the administration's position clear in a statement to CNN.
"Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president's team, and I'm thrilled for her and for all of us that she's going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces," Vance said.
When Trump announced her departure from Justice last month, he gave her record its proper accounting.
"Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in crime across our country, with murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Murders at their lowest level since 1900.
Raskin called that a failure.
What Patriots Actually Look Like
Thyroid cancer, when caught and treated, carries some of the highest survival rates in oncology – typically above 95 percent for the most common forms.
Bondi is going to be fine.
But here's what the media can't bring itself to say.

The same woman Jamie Raskin accused of running a "historic and egregious cover-up" – his exact words – received a cancer diagnosis, kept it private, finished her work at the Justice Department, and accepted a new role advising the president on artificial intelligence.
Not once did she use the diagnosis as a shield against his attacks.
Raskin and Crockett were competing to write the most vicious statements about her departure.
She was scheduling surgery.
Trump called Bondi "a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend" when she left.
That's what it looks like when someone earns that title instead of just claiming it.
